Qantas double status credits OR double points offer [book 23-28 March 2023]

I guess its also personal preference. I value SC's much more than points, mainly because my main use of points is for upgrades. I rarely use classic reward flights as I'm usually time constrained.

I'd be stupid to take the DSCs.

My current bookings will get me > 1200 SCs this year.

Any extra will just get wiped at the end of the membership year and be for nothing.

I think what we're actually saying is - why take unnecessary flights (and spend money) just for a DSC/DP promotion ;)

Oh absolutely. I'd only book a flight I need/want to take, in which case I'd take the points.

But certainly not going on a "points run" - I don't think that's a thing!

Someone who is LTG, but knows they'll never get LTP
Has made forward bookings for the next membership year that will requalify them to their chosen status level but have no hope of the next one

I fit this category. I probably won't make any bookings, but if I do, I'll probably go for double points.
That descrribes me as well. My time as WP will expire at 30 June and I won't enough travel booked between now and 30 June - I'm about 800 SCs shy of keeping WP. But as I'm LTG now, the extra points will be handy to add to the tally for when I retire in a couple of years, and treat MrsK to what she expects in J.

Hi all, I was wondering, if you book a flexi ticket and have to change the dates (but still within the promo window) do you still get status credits? Thanks.
T&Cs support changes made as long as you fly within the promotional period:
If you cancel your initial qualifying booking or change it to be outside the promotional period, the double Qantas Points or double Status Credits offer will not apply.

Respectfully disagree here. One thing that DSCs do count towards is lifetime status which if you're like me (and aiming for lifetime Gold) can be a real godsend.

If you read the earlier post that was in reply to, I said I already have LTG.

and way off P1 and LTP so not going to bother

Looks like Qantas saw the record number of NZ bookings during the DSC period lol and decided to make the Business sale fare greater than the Saver one, ahh well

I'm a bit confused by the double negative in this line: "Any flight with a QF flight number on the ticket which is not operated by Qantas including Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Jetstar Japan, Jetstar Pacific and other partner airlines will not be eligible for this offer." So is this saying that any flight with a QF number which is operated by Qantas and other partner airlines is eligible for this offer? I'm just wondering whether these partner airlines are just Oneworld airlines or all codeshare partners? For example I've read that Emirates operated flights aren't applicable for the double status credits. This makes sense in terms of Emirates tickcted flights not being eligible for status credits anyway, but isn't it the case that Emirates flights that are QF ticketed get you regular status credits? But not double status credits apparently? Does this apply to say AA or BA flights ticketed by Qantas (say in a multi city trip). Would you get double status credits for all legs in such a trip or just the ones that are both Qantas ticketed and operated? Thanks.

i.e. the flight must have a QF flight number and be operated by Qantas.

Has to be QF marketed and operated, although it includes Qantaslink and the domestic partners like Alliance etc as these can only be booked as QF flights.

These count for this purpose because the operating carrier code is still QF. They're not code share partners, all ticketing and customer service is still 100% Qantas.

Yes but the question gets asked every year so I thought I'd just clarify. I did say they can only be booked as QF.
