Qantas double status credits OR double points offer [book 23-28 March 2023]

Yep, all my DSCs have been coming through within 48 hours too. I have a feeling Qantas needs to manually credit DSCs for my original routing, but call centre staff insist “your DSCs will come through in 8 weeks”
After a few calls with different agents, this is my best guess to what will happen (and anyone else who's in the same boat):

1. Qantas will not credit the DSCs owed until the 8 week period is up, because as far as they can tell I never boarded the original flight (DSCs only apply if you board the eligible flight).
2. I call Qantas after the 8 week period, and then an agent will see that I am owed extra DSCs.
3. The agent can then manually credit it at that stage.

It seems that agents don't have the ability (or don't want) to see if someone is owed missing DSCs, nor the ability to manually credit DSCs until after the 8 week waiting period is up.

Every agent could see that my flight was changed by Qantas, the booking was eligible for DSCs, and that I did not board my original flight.

One agent even said something along the lines of "yeah you probably won't get the automatic DSCs until you call up after 8 weeks".

I would just email [email protected]. Include the following things:
  1. Context of what had happened. Cancellation/Reroute etc. Make it as easy for them to understand what had happened
  2. Include original and new routing including SCs you would have earned (individual flights and DSC total)
Example:

Hi Team,
XYZ happened. I have earned X amount due to a cancellation in contrast to my original routing from abc to def (earning Y). Below is the routing:

Original Routing:

ABC-DEF (40SC)
DEF-GHI (60SC)
GHI-JKL (80SC)

Total: 360 status credits (40 + 60 + 80) x 2

New Routing

ABC-XYZ (60 status credits)
XYZ-JKL (80 status credits)

Total: 280 status credits (60+80) x 2

[what outcome would you like]

Thank you

This happens frequently and this is the fastest and easiest way to fix this. Rather than spending all the time on the phone trying to fix this shoot them an email and just wait for a response.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve shot them an email. I was hoping for an over the phone fix but I should have just emailed from the start.

Update - after another 2 hours on the phone finally sorted. Struck a consultant this morning who looked at the case notes and the EK boarding passes and immediately credited the DSC and points to my wife and my accounts. I sense a general reluctance to make a decision when dealing with the QF Call Centre nowadays. Anyway...

All my other DSC flights have credited within 24 hours however I'm still waiting on Thursdays ones. I know the booking is eligible because I've flown other flights on the same PNR that credited within 24 hours.

Hopefully it will credit early this week. It can take a few business days or so.

Yes, I hope so as well, they're the remaining ones to get me over to Plat.

I'm flying out of BNE to NZ this evening so no big loss not being Plat for this flight but with international flights out of AKL/SYD upcoming in the next few weeks I hope it sorts itself out soon.

Edit: after todays BNE-AKL flight the regular points/status credits came through followed by the bonus SC’s from last week and also a points readjustment for the plat status bonus on the BNE-AKL.

My first couple of DSC flights flown on Saturday 29/7 & returning Wednesday 2/8, SYD-ZQN-SYD in J (revenue). Base SCs were in before the flights landed, in both directions. QF Premier Ti 20% bonus SCs were in a day after each flight... but still waiting on the DSC values to flow in. Seems many (most?) others are getting them within a couple of days? Anyone who's recently flown have them show up without follow-up later than that?

Cheers,
Matt.

SG here @dairyfloss.
Flew MELB-BNE-TSV return last week, points and SC's in account upon landing.
DSC's just on 24 hours.
Only 425 now to retain, at least 4 segments flown ✔️

Same for an international flight
So I’m now 8 days waiting on an outbound for DSCs to show… seems like no others have waited this long for an automatic credit?

Patience grasshopper ...
Yes, I know… just the first time I’ve ever not had something run like clockwork! 🤓 Thankfully no chance of lost benefits inside of the eight weeks for me, if it does come to that

Hi all - sorry if this has been asked elsewhere. Do double status credits count toward the loyalty bonus (500 SC). Or is it only the base SC value of the flight? Unfortunately I think I will fall tantalisingly short of Platinum if it doesn't count 😭

no, they don't.

Thanks for the prompt reply!! I had a bad feeling - means even with Green Tier I will fall 5 SC short of platinum😖😖😖 might try and find a cheap flight somewhere!

Thanks! Looks like a revenue fare one way to get those last 5 credits and a return on points seems the way to go :)

With this offer if booking a domestic business flight and then changing that flight date/time after the offer ends will the DSC’s still be applied? (Same booking)
