I'm looking at booking a BNE/POM/MAG return and only QF is an option (flight timing). Will be a good DSC earner.

Just had a DSC credit today, for a flight on the 8th of June.

Will update when my return flights credit - hopefully it’s as quick as this one!

So far this promo mine have been credited as as a day after travel. It’s interesting that different trips are taking different amounts of time to credit.

Yeah, I would be curious if they followed a pattern (e.g. higher capacity trips credit slower). Knowing QF IT, probably not!

DSC for flight from 10th June posted exactly 48hrs later.

Isn't that operated by PX so no DSCs?
Probably, hadn't gone that far into the process (just discussing and getting clearance from wife to do the trip). Will be a new airline (PX) and sectors (BNE/POM and POM/MAG) for me. Still, BNE/POM/BNE is still a decent DSC (just whether I choose Sale or Saver fares, under DSC there's another 14 SC's if I go Saver both ways).

Do you still have a voucher with Double Status Credits to use for the booking?

Suspect cheapest fully flex fare booked during promo, and now modifying the itinerary keeping the same PNR so DSCs remain intact.

That is certainly what I am going to choose to do next time a DSC offer drops (unless they have found some way to stop people doing this).

Not a voucher, but I have access to DSC until the end of the promotion - vouchers aren't the only way to get a double yolker ;)
What benefit does your way have over a voucher? Inability to originate ex-AU is only sizeable restriction I've found on that method.

Do you mean inability to originate outside of AU?

The FAQ for the DSC offer re Gift Vouchers says as below. That would suggest that the Gift Voucher has to be redeemed during the booking window of the DSC offer period.

  • Are Qantas Gift Vouchers eligible for this offer?

Gift Vouchers purchased and redeemed for an eligible flight booking made during the promotion period will be eligible for the bonus reward. Gift Vouchers purchased but not redeemed for an eligible flight booking (for flights that are not booked or travelled within the booking or travel period dates), will not earn the bonus reward.

  • Redeemable for one-way or return Qantas domestic or international flights departing Australia only.

You can get DSC via other means, originating anywhere, not just Australia and even on QF flights on non-QF tickets. Also, if you can find someone who knows how to do it, gift vouchers can be used for tickets starting outside of Australia.
