I have a feeling WP might be not recognised by emirates - Gold = Gold but no higher.

What, no one in Australia flies in premium cabins to Asia?

There is no reason that with competitive frequencies and timings that QF can start to take back market share from the likes of SQ and CX.

Ooooh. I like the sound of that. Return one of the SIN-PER flights to a morning departure/afternoon arrival.

My guess is that since this is such a broad ranging change for EK, they may as part of the deal introduce a Platinum level with similar benefits to WP.

Competitive Frequencies with what aircraft, both CX and SQ are 4X QF to most cities in Australia already????

Here's hoping that was simply done by the outsourced marketing team who think Gold = Gold.

EK did say at the conference they are looking at introducing a fourth tier to their FF program.

i give it all a '2 thumbs up' :D:D 1 thumb via 'asia/oneworld alliance' :D ...1 thumb via 'middle east/codeshare' :D = more choices :D:D ... changing/adapting/evolving are required of ANY business to survive...the world of today is vastly different from the world of yesteryear and will continue to change!!

I'm happy with EK matching WP to their invitation tier :p

But I see Danger has already mentioned they were looking to add a 4th tier anyway. Does make more sense.

Those planes are going to have trouble backing out.



Well EK take care of some with codeshare to KUL/BKK/SIN. Then QF take the other time slots. Haven't done the maths though.

First post here,

#### Ek!
if I wanted to fly with them or fly to those countries I would have by my own choice.I have Not nor will I
i don't won't to be forced to when I fly qantas
CX will get a lot of QFFF now I hope.
Say good bye to our QFFF award tickets on CX and BA no reason to make available any more.
No more WING lounge in HKG, NO more First class CX classic awards!!!
So SO Sad

Easy, tiger. Qantas remains a part (!) of oneworld, meaning CX lounges and classic awards will remain.

ALL these things will stay as QF are remaining in oneworld...

Not quite, the change affects services with BA from LHR to BKK, SIN and HKG, as well as baggage changes and lounge access for QP members (after all the "kangaroo route" is what the JSa was put in place for. These have always been a standout difference to what is normally on offer as part of the One World benefits. It also means BA are no longer bound by pricing with QF.

True but my reply was in relation to your comment that there would no longer be any earn on BA.

Perhaps the 25% more seats into Asia refers to QF codesharing on EK services BKK-SYD, SIN-BNE and SIN-MEL.
