As an Emirates Skywards member you will be able to earn Skywards Miles and tier Miles as per the programme rules on EK-marketed (EK flight number), Qantas-operated flights. This includes Qantas domestic flights that are part of a continuous international journey with Emirates or Qantas.
Just got a skywards email on the partnership.... The link to the EK FAQs indicates that skyward tier miles will be earnt on EK coded QF operated flights
The ‘bait’ is the especially attractive offer designed to lure customers to a business. When they arrive, the bait is unavailable and the customer is encouraged to buy other, more expensive goods. That’s the ‘switch’. The bait might have been a single item sold to the first person or it might not have been a genuine offer at all.[/QUOTE]
The only out I can find for you is that the 'sale' offer is not at all attractive in the first place. The fares are still twice what BA are asking for SYD-LHR in real Y+?
Cheers skip

Dear Red Roo (are you in hiding?)
Yes I too got the email. I thought, why not, I will check out your Y+ fares and see if they've stepped off ridiculous...
.....
Cheers skip
Prem Y fates are also on sale for $1600
I got a similar email just over an hour ago. AND the Emirates flight that I want to take in June from Adelaide now comes up on the Qantas site as a Qantas flight operated by Emirates. I need to explore this more but I reckon this is fantastic for our travel plans
I'm not sure if you're talking about a paid flight or an award, but if paid then I suggest you check the EK website price before deciding to book the QF code share. When I looked yesterday for J prices on this route in late August, the EK website price was $2K less than QF for the exact same flights.
Will Qantas honour a cheap flight booked if they made a mistake or do they just say sorry, plase pay us another $1000 or whatever. What happens in reverse if some poor soul pays over the odds?
