The latest email I got today details some new things.

This may be targeted, but have been given this promotion:
.

It is. I noticed wording at the bottom saying this is only for member number xx_.

So how much is the cheapest recharge voucher, I don't need a second SIM, but is it cost effective to just throw away, or briefly use up the credit?

From the link there's a big banner saying $20, 30 and $50, and that's pretty consistent with others. As for cost effectiveness, I'd say not but maybe if you only need 500 points for something specifically, it's an easy way to achieve it. I also note the conditions said 500 maximum, so there's no point to buying multiples for more.

Will have to go and check my emails. BWS would be interesting (my local), but if the first $30 is waived, then less beneficial.

Nice to see my Woolies shopping is posting very quickly to my QFF account.

This may be targeted, but have been given this promotion:

  1. Purchase a $2 Everyday Mobile Pre-Paid SIM pack and recharge voucher in one transaction from Woolworths/Safeway Supermarkets (excluding Tasmania) by Sunday 4th October
  2. Present your registered Everyday Rewards card before you pay at the checkout
  3. Receive 500 Qantas Frequent Flyer points credited to your Everyday Rewards account on 7th October

Also noted at the bottom of the email is BWS' inclusion into points earning from October 5th.

From the everydaymobile.com.au site:

You can recharge in amounts of $20, $30 or $50

And there's $10 off your first recharge at the moment, so you'd be looking at $12 per 500 points. Not terrific value:)

Sounds good. I'm a little short on cash at the end of the month, so if all goes well, I'll only be $12 out of pocket. I'm going grocery shopping shortly, so will make a note to buy a new SIM and recharge. I have a spare phone somewhere.

Word of caution for anyone that has been given this offer, they need to take down your ID details and this takes time. Cannot be done at a standard checkout as you hold everyone up. Only one person in my store knew what to do, and it took 5 minutes to find him.

The price was $12 total though with the $10 off, so I'll wait till the 7th and then post here when I get my bonus. Now to decide what to do with the SIM. Might pop it in my spare phone for Oktoberfest, lest I lose my iPhone.

My offer for this week is double QFF points at BigW-it is targeted. So got my $100 recharge for my mobile broadband so 140 QFF points + 94 Aadvantage miles paying by DC.
Between mrsdrron and I at the end of September we have 1000 QFF points without really trying.certainly worthwhile.

Forget they're still not part of Australia.

Just realised too that this promotion isn't exactly Qantas related, though I guess for every 10 entries you'll still get 20 QFF points.

Received an email from Woolworths today offering bonus points:

Thanks for being a great customer. You’ve already earned 2xx_ Qantas Frequent Flyer points with Woolworths Everyday Rewards#. Here’s an opportunity to supercharge your points just by doing your normal shopping.

No offer here though!

That sounds great, but I'm no where near that. I've so far earned just 450 points, with 500 coming in tomorrow thanks to a promotion. You must have a big family to have already hit over 2000. I'm only feeding myself.

Now we can earn at BWS. D!ck smith is still coming soon.

I wish they'd clarify what they mean by 'soon'. Would be nice to know the timeframe so we can hold off future purchases, which can't be done forever.

Lucky one9 - we haven't quite got to 2000 points, but would have loved a bonus point offer all the same (D!ck Smith points would have definitely helped!). :)

I'll still be happier when they put Dan Murphys into the mix. I don't know of any BWS's around my place, and Dan Murphy's usually has a far better selection (and generally pretty good prices).

O/T, I wish they'd off you an option to ditch the fuel voucher and credit only to QFF. I have several dozen expired fuel vouchers since I signed up for QFF points. I never buy my fuel at Safeway/Woolworths/Caltex. (Hey, it never hurts to dream).
