The new iMacs look very nice, but DSE wouldn't discount the macs as it's a loss to them. Usually when they advertise a computer sale they'll explicitly say, "excludes macs".
I might buy my Magic Mouse there though, if I'm going to receive points for the purchase.
...DSE has had 10 per cent off Macs fairly regularly (whether or not that continues is another thing).
That'd be JB HiFi - up until now, DSE has had 10 per cent off Macs fairly regularly (whether or not that continues is another thing).
Also very tempted by the Magic Mouse - will have to check it out in store soon.
Haven't seen any announcements about DSE coming on board on Monday yet though - hope it's still happening.
I'm surprised that Qantas and Everyday Rewards hasn't promoted that DSE is coming online on Monday. I only found out through a targeted offer I received ($4 a pack of Mother 4 pack) last week

Effective Monday 26 October 2009, participating **** Smith and Tandy stores will join the Qantas Frequent
Flyer Program.
**** Smith and Tandy are part of the Woolworths Group and Members will earn:
1 point per $1 over $50 in participating **** Smith and Tandy stores around Australia (excluding ****
Smith and Tandy franchisee and re-seller stores)
Some exclusions apply: offer excludes selected purchases including gift cards, freight, and selected
services. Other terms and conditions apply – visit www.everydayrewards.com.au for more details
To earn points, Qantas Frequent Flyers must present their Everyday Rewards card linked to their Qantas
Frequent Flyer membership at the time of purchase at a participating **** Smith or Tandy store. Points will be
automatically credited to the Member’s Qantas Frequent Flyer account.
Like other Woolworths Group stores – Woolworths/Safeway Supermarkets, Woolworths/Safeway Liquor, BWS
& BIG W – retrospective claims are not permitted.
If Members have detailed enquiries about their points transactions, they should be referred to Everyday
Rewards for further assistance.
When points have been credited to the Qantas Frequent Flyer account, Members can view details by logging in
to their account at qantas.com/frequentflyer and selecting ‘Your Activity Statement’.
Be Rewarded this Christmas
with 250 bonus points when you register and link before 24 December 2009
With Christmas just around the corner, here's a great way to get rewards faster.
Link your registered Woolworths Everyday Rewards card to your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership at the Everyday Rewards website between 26 October and 24 December 2009, and you will earn 250 bonus points.*
Then, shop at participating Woolworths Group stores and present your Everyday Rewards card to really boost your points balance.^
I might just pick up a new card from my local supermarket, register it, join QFF under a dodgy name, then transfer over the points as an eligible family member!
That would explain the mysterious entry posters at my local Woolworths this morning, that exhorted you to "register before Christmas" but without explaining why.
The language on the EDR site is quite congenial regarding unlinking and happily suggests you can relink at any time. So I'll give it a go on an account that has received 0 points so far. If that works then they'll all receive the relinking treatment.
Certainly not something to be abused however, like the A|Club promo a few months back, with people registering countless fake accounts. If you were doing the whole family transfer from person 1 to 2 to 3 etc. until getting back to yourself, QFF may certainly notice if you suddenly had an influx of 100 children or cousins in the family
I think you will find it is per QFF account...so unless you also open up a 100 QFF accounts......
The question is, how do I work out if my store is a franchisee or reseller store? I don't want to ring up the purchase to find out I don't get any points.
