Just got my first "quarterly statement" which says we earned:
Supermarkets: 3298
spacer.gif
BWS: 0
spacer.gif
BIG W: 8

**** Smith: 0Also says:
Total Qantas Frequent Flyer points earned with your Everyday Rewards card: 6910
so I assume the other points were earned before this last quarter - I can't recall when it started.

The thing is I've spent plenty at **** Smith and some at BWS and more than 8 (10 actually) at Big W so I doubt how accurate it is.
It also says my total fuel savings = $0 which is somewhat inaccurate as well.

Anyone else noticed strange stuff?

Was this quarterly statement given in an email, or through the post? I signed up in June/July last year for the QFF points and haven’t had any statements!

I'm guessing this allows Woolies to access the data directly rather than through credit card companies who would charge a bob or two.

Woolies (and anyone else who accepts a credit card) has full electronic access to the identity data behind the card, including your name , address etc - at no extra cost apart from the commission that is charged on behalf of the card issuer for every card transaction.

The only issue that surprises me is that card acceptors have not made more intrusive use of the information to which they have unfettered, free access.

By the way, for the next 2 weeks my offer is 100 points once only extra if I buy the Marlborough Ridge Sauvignon Blanc in the next 2 weeks. It’s targeted, but they should know I only ever buy red, not white :p

Guess I’m just on the alcoholic list.

After the Cow Bombie promotion They have probably taken me off that list.;)

It's not very targeted. I and other household members received this too. I must say that I have never heard of this brand - my suspicion is that it's a WW generic house brand, bland taste with a very hefty margin built in for WW. It probably costs WW $5 to place it on the shelf in the shop.

What are 100 QFs worth - about $1? WW is conning the punters into buying a wine they've never tasted! I guess the only part of the equation that I don't appreciate is the sell price of the wine but I'm not at all interested in going out of my way to find out.

Came as an email yesterday, it says it's the first one.

Where would they get the address information? I dare say giving the retailers unfettered access to all this information may have some privacy issues associated with it.

Also found out why the points are all over the place. It seems Mrs Warks is using my card, I am using my son's card (which we got for his QFF membership only) and my daughter's card (ditto) is in a drawer but I checked online and found it had 6 points on it . I couldn't find a card in my name anywhere although it does exist.

To be fair, it could be very good. Unlikely however. I’d go check it out if it was a red, but as I don’t drink white, it hardly seems worth it to me.

What liquor outfit does Woolworths own, is it Independent Breweries Australia?

If you lose your card you can always replace it. I find writing a keyword in indelible marker on the front helps to distinguish them. I’ve already replaced one card for my dad.

Woolies are giving you an extra 100 points for trying a white wine - no one forcing you to do so - why whinge?

Woolies are in business to make a profit - they arent a charity so if you dont want their offer fine - but why be negative and have a go at them - why should we expect offers to be totally free?
No such thing as a free lunch.

My next BWS visit a slab of beer on special at $45 plus this bottle of white means at least 125 points plus my amex points on top - so will be around 200 points in total - if wine no good got my beer anyway!!

I dare say that Marlborough Ridge is just another of the vast array of NZ Sav Blancs from the Marlborough sound area. So yes someone is trying to cash in, the kiwi wine producers, on the marlborough factor. I doubt that it is a wow brand.

It's not that hard to find references to it if you wanted to find out, and clearly it's not Woolworths own brand. The going rate seems to be around $15 a bottle, and it's in a fair few restaurants as well. Here's one set of listings to save you the trouble of searching...

Received my first quarterly statement via e-mail today - for the quarter from December to February, even though I've had the card longer than that (not sure exactly how much longer, other than I didn't get it as one of the first who got a sign-up bonus). As with you, the total QFF points earned is about double the broken down number of points earned (mine were all supermarkets), so I assume that the difference is points earned prior to December. All other details appeared accurate.

One interesting offer the e-mail also contained, was a bonus 500 QFF points for spending the qualifying amount (min. $30 at WW, not sure for the others) at two of the group stores by 15/4/2010. Did anyone else receive this? Unlike everyone else here, I don't think I've received any other offers, either targeted, or general.

Well you just got a targeted offer-mine contained one offer of 100 QFF points for spending $20 at Big W on Easter eggs.

The Easter eggs offer was the same one I received too.

Have re-checked my quarterly statement e-mail and I received that offer too, together with 5% off Lindt, an extra 5% off at BWS for 6 bottles and a couple of other offers/discounts.

Something similar - 700 points for spending at three partners.

Bummer, I only got offered 600 points for shopping at three partners. No chance of that happening anyway.

Before seeing the posts here, I checked the link and it didn't say it was targeted, so I'm a bit surprised that it appears to be from the posts here.

[FONT=Arial, sans-serif]Interesting that 3 different posters received three different offers ( 500, 600 or 700) QFF points when you spend the qualifying amount in one transaction at any 3 or more of the participating Woolworths partners during their Easter promo.
I received the 700 points offer which I'll find easy to do.
Normal Woolies shopping, Easter eggs at Big W and a six pack of wine from BWS with their 15% offer.
They sure are targeting . Do you get the feeling Big Brother is watching.

Did anyone get offered more than 700 points?
