Qantas FF and Woolworths create new loyalty alliance

Will Coles (Wesfarmers) ever come out with a FF linked card? Or, are they locked in with their Flybuys promo?

The bits and pieces I had heard of Coles thinking about where they are going with loyalty schemes, would suggest that they weren't heading in this direction. But, who knows.

Not sure, but I do love the look on the face of the Coles checkout girls when I pay for my lunch using my Woolies CC :) (I'd shop at Woolies, but unfortunately the only purveyor of food within walking distance is Coles).
Excellent

SWMBO received a statement (500 QFF pt offer if spending the qualifying amount* at any 2 Woolworths retail partners before 24 December); I did not.

Housemate got this, I got 700 QFF pt for 3 outlets (same as I had a few months back, and one of only 4 offers i've ever had).

Useful around Christmas time too. Shame it's only a 1 time thing or I could make quite a few points of it.

Recently changed from cents off petrol to QFF points, pleasantly surprised today to receive 144 points for 36l of fuel.

I changed to QFF points last week too.
Funny - I had missed that offer only to be told about it by my son!!!

MY newsletter included a 15c off fuel for buying 3x18 cans coke packs. pick up 4 as part of the 2 for $22 offer in last week's catalog. Now I have a 19c fuel voucher! :D

I think I got 500 for 2 partners, or may 700 for 2 partners, I can't remembers but registered. One question of qualification, I'm currently buying wish cards from dick smith, which don't qualify for points. But the qualification for the points just says spend $50+, it doesn't say the purchase has to earn points. Anyone with experience of this, would a non points earn purchase qualify as a partner purchase for the bonus points?

My (700 point) offer fine print states the following:

Woolworths said:
"Offer excludes selected purchases including smoking/tobacco products, gift cards, BIG W Optical, DVD Kiosk purchases, freight charges, selected services and selected online purchases including BIG W Photo, BIG W Entertainment and BIG W Movie Rental."
(My bolding.)

So I think you might be out of luck...

Thanks. Been a crazy time leading up to Christmas and I only really just registered for the offers without looking into them.
I think I might also get something for buying beach towels at BigW. Will have to double check.

I went from 1 offer every few months (every 2 or so months), to 1 offer every week recently. l'm 100% sure it's because my shopping habits changed. I went from ~1 Woolies spend per week (say $20-$35), to everyday $10-$20 spends.

Purchasing Gift Cards have always been excluded from the Everyday Rewards promotions. You can earn the points when paying for regular purchases using a Gift Card. The Amex promotion that includes gift card purchased at Dick Smith has nothing to do with Everyday Rewards and you do not earn any EDR benefits for the Gift Card purchase.

It's my fault for not reading the fine print. I realised gift cards didn't earn points in their own right and for the bonus points promotion only got to the bit about making a $50+ purchase. The Amex promo is only relevant because it means I'm making lots of purchases at an EDR partner over $50+. Just wonder if that would make the purchase criteria before someone kindly noticed me of the fine print.

Thanks for the help, everyone

It sure is a slow Xmas, Big W are having a pre boxing dale sale and I received an offer of 250 pts everytime I spend more than $50 between Wednesday and Xmas, usable multiple times!

Quiet in here...

Two offers this week on other family members accounts

1. Spend $30 or more and get either
a)Double Qantas FF points
OR
b)12c/litre off petrol (which can be used to get qantas FF points)

I picked b) As it will give me 6 Qantas FF points per litre, so I'll take both cars and the Jerry cars and fill up to 150 litres for 900 Qantas FF points

2. Spend $10 or more on skincare products and get an offer
a)$10 - 7c/litre OR 150 points
b)$20 - 9c/litre OR 200 points
c)$30 - 12c/litre OR 300 points

I have chosen the 300 points for that one.

900 points "could" be calculated to have a value of 900 x $0.0072 = $6.48
12c/litre off petrol "could" be calculated to have a value of 150 x $0.12 = $18.00

Do you really think its worth converting your fuel savings vouchers to ff points.... for the best savings possible, me thinks not..... :p

Interested to know how this works as the offer does say per car per customer or something like that.

I took my 19c/litre as cash discount as I wasn't sure how that would convert to points, 8 or 10 points per litre.

4 cents = 2 points
8 cents = 4 points
10 cents = 5 points
12 cents = 6 points

I have read that on here and that's how the points covert for me

Yeh but the people at the petrol station usually have little/no idea what's going on as it's so busy so it should be fine ;)

Indeed just not sure how 19c would convert, I guess 9 points, I could wish for 9.5 points.

I also have a 15 cent-er sitting there looks like petrol discount for that one as well

It depends what CC’s you’re eligible for. Take my case for example, I can;t get any. I’m the perfect example of an ideal australian banking customer in that I couldn’t pay for whatever I spent as I don’t have an income…. win for the banks! Yet that being said, they wont issue to me, despite issuing to countless others that can;t afford CC’s and don’t pay on time!

So I need the best value for my dollar, and saving ~$12 more on fuel doesn’t compare to earning 900 points.

It all comes down to the individual.

Surely a 19¢ voucher would be worth 9.5 points a litre?
