.

There are more projects around the actual existing status tiers going on behind the scenes. Some changes in that area appear to have been deferred from the original batch of "enhancements" bandied around for this announcement. Watch this space.
This is what we should be worried about and sounds like it will be announced via email softly.

75K is a big number.... but it makes perfect sense to gift the really heavy flyers with something.

Flying F on $$$ & points seems to be a far more logical way of securing top benefits .... you're not locked into one airline or an alliance that could look very different in the multi years to come.

If LTP is 75000 SC, then LTP1 if introduced would be at a crazily high SC count

Also something else interesting.

"Now, extra availability will no longer be accessed solely based on members' tier. Members can access additional availability based on their engagement and behaviour in the program "

As someone with less than 1,000 lifetime status credits, this part of any changes doesn’t concern me at all (although I feel for those who will be). My main interest is in redemption rates and with a trip being booked in a few months time I am interested to see how many more points I will now need to earn in that time.

I would say an extra 30% for premium cabins.

has it always been "Status and Clubs"?

Status page also seems to be down from this site.

Yes but with a drop in points and an increase for J and F then it enforces it even harder.
