Qantas First Class menus

I went the 'tasting menu' given the length of flight. It was good - not outstanding, but what I've come to expect from QF F. Unfortunately the beef was overcooked.

The seasonal dish was another spanner crab dish - essentially the one listed on the menu was a warm option and the seasonal was a cold option. I effectively ended up having both as they brought me the incorrect one - the one on the menu was better than the seasonal dish.

Menu on the return DFW>SYD was certainly nothing to write home about. Effectively just the J menu with one additional small and large plate.
We're doing lax-mel on the way home

One of the reasons I will probably just go J next time I fly QF. Save the points. Other than the bubbles there’s not much to justify the extra points.

Whilst I tend to agree with this comment, for a 17+ hour flight mostly overnight, the additional space and comfort of the bed in F is a big reason I would choose it when compared to a hard and droopy Skybed II.

I agree. Although we decided to come back later this year J LAX-BNE due to B787 and the close to midnight departure/night flight taking the edge of F.... also BNE is our destination.

But it’s F on the way over.

The thing that did it for me was flying F QF11 last year. Went upstairs and looked at the menu my brother had in J and food was identical. Very disappointing that they can’t differentiate IMO.

For me the bed doesn’t make much difference (QF products anyway) but everyone is different there so would understand if it is also important to some.

As fergo says - an actual flat bed would be the winner for me. But of course it shouldn't be necessary to up the class of travel to get a flat bed that is advertised in business :(

if anyone has updated F menus for July for AU-North America, that would be great (or let me know if they are the same)

Does anyone have a recent QF36 SIN-MEL F menu? I haven't seen one on here for a while.

The soup, salad, cheese and dessert courses on the current long haul F tasting menus attached above are exactly the same as the current 'regional' J menu PER-SIN.

They have just stopped trying...

Here are the second lot.
Yes, it says APR19, suggesting menus are now published every quarter and not season. Still a bit late!
I just saw one from a few months ago and it also had APR19.

QF93. Menu is listed as Sep 19. Maybe they're going back to changing with the seasons, not the calendar quarter.
