Qantas Fleet

Looking at Flights subject to government and regulatory approval (found on another thread here) it appears that QF are running a one-off QF107 flight on 30 May. Could this be another 744 retirement flight? I've heard VH-OJI is the next to go...
OJI was due to leave by end of last year under the transformation plan. However like OJA has been extended.

likely to be leaving in May, so i think you are correct.

Dammit. I'm on OJA now for 5 hours... Sigh...
I'm not sure about that. Below is my footage of OJA's final landing in Albion Park/Wollongong earlier this year.

I thought QF already didn't have enough large intercontinentals. I wonder if they may try and steal one from Tokyo (and make that two A333s and JQs 787s)?
When's the next A388 due?

If they retimed SYD-TYO so that it didn't sit at NRT/HND for 18 hours, it would only require one aircraft.
Unless they bring forward the defered orders, not until 2018.

Is there a corresponding extra return, or one of the other SYD-LAX flights missing?

As far as I can see it's a one-off one-way extra flight. QF11/12 and 17/18 operate on all days that week. The only other thing I can think is that the return flight might be a charter...

this flight is cancelled.
id say they are keeping OJI for longer to cover the 6 week absence of OQF due to the damage sustained in the maintenance accident.

A332 VH-EBH operated QF81 to SIN today and has apparently now left the fleet.

A333 VH-QPE returning after being repainted is operating the return QF82 to SYD.

Didn't realise QF were offloading 332s? Where is EBH heading? I notice it's now in QPG.

They have previously announced that 2 will be going. The timing is a surprise though, would have thought they would have stayed until the refurbs have been completed.
