Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

If anyone has had a QFF anniversary recently and looking to do the Green Tier, you might find the quiz is no longer available on the wellbeing app. I contacted the app support about this and here's what they said:

The Team is aware of the issue within the Qantas Wellbeing application, the Membership Year crossover and the impact to the members. They are working on the fix.

There are six options available to complete the Green Tier Status, but only five need to be completed.

If you have completed four of the six items, there is a manual work-around to allow you to complete the Green Tier Status between now and when the fix is released.

In a later response they said:

Once you have 4 events registered, and if the issue is not resolved by then, please let me know and we can do the manual work-around

So if this applies to you, and you're keen to get Green Tier ASAP, get in touch with them through the feedback feature in the wellbeing app. They didn't go into detail on what the manual work around was - perhaps they give you the quiz over the phone 😁

They just push through the extra leaf manually. It was mentioned up thread a while ago.

Thanks for the reminder! - I've just sent my request to have that done via the QF Welbeing app. I had 4 of the required 5 within the first few days of my new membership year starting, last month. Will report back when I notice it's resolved and added.

Anyone else done this and can confirm the options to get rewarded (SCs, Points or the donation to QF... errr "a carbon offset") came through soon after the 5th leaf was manually applied?

Cheers,
Matt.

For those who got the 5th leaf -quizz- manually, how long did it take from first request to success, and how mamy reminders? I want to make sure I can time mine to become green between 90 days and a fw days before next membership.

My reading of previous post is that it can be hit and miss. As is adding the offset after a booking.

The recommendation seems to be pay at least $1 at the time of booking.

So just confirming that adding the offset after the booking is not yet functioning properly for the leaf? Or is hit and miss...

Not confirmed personally, but apparently there are new options available on the green tier category page (where it explains how to earn each leaf type) which links to “Offset upcoming bookings”. Maybe this yields different results?

Take with a grain of salt though because I only saw it on a Facebook comment.

The link just takes you to “My Bookings” page with the newish ability to offset existing bookings.

I haven’t used that function but if it didn’t sprout a leaf, you’d think you’d have grounds to contact QF?

I've tried to offset against an existing booking (applied ~ 2 weeks ago). It shows that the offset request has been made but not actioned yet and no green leaf yet. The flight is in 2 weeks so will see if it ultimately sticks or I need to follow up with QFF.

Good luck.
Im trying to look at options to achieve my leaf asap before end of membership year.
It sounds like putting in a new booking with offset might be safer

OK - it's all done, today. I sent the message via the Wellbeing app last Thu 13th Oct... I received confirmation of their receiving that message about 10 minutes later. Today - 3 business days later - I got a note confirming that: "[My] Green Tier Status has been manually adjusted. should now be able to see the Green Tier benefits available to [me]."

Indeed, they were - I logged into the QF app soon after and was able to follow a link to select my reward (took the 50 SCs), and it was immediately applied to this year's tally, as well as to LT SCs. The pending 5th leaf did not fill in, and it didn't add a year for benefits as yet, either. I guess neither are actually important.

I updated a booking with offset on 10 October. I still haven't been credited the green tier for this purchase after 7-days as stated on the Qantas website. I spoke to someone from the frequent flyer programme and they haven't seemed to have helped at all.

I have taken the advice given and used the wellbeing app feedback mechanism to ask for this to be resolved ASAP.

Regarding offseting to get a green leaf, experience has been that any qantas business rewards linked bookings will not get a personal green leaf.
I suspect this is because the offset points crediting to your personal account is what triggers the green leaf, and business bookings send the offset points to the business account.

A point to check for those waiting for offset to be recognised.

Yes, QBR issues mentioned recently, but possibly more specifically something to do QBR discount rate (if used). But I can’t imagine why?

If I book a fare with no QBR discount or add my ABN to an existing booking, the personal points / SCs just post normally and the QBR bonus points turn up later.

Ok so a word of warning to anyone who is feeling inclined to retrospectively offset a booking - when I requested to offset my booking via qantas website, it cancelled my entire booking.

I had a Y booking that was one of the most painful booking experiences that I've had. I was feeling like offsetting it for good karma (without any expectations that I will actually be able to get a leaf). Coincidentally, as soon as I sent the request through, my booking reference stopped appearing in my account, and the linked Emirates booking reference was deleted too.

Took a few calls this morning around the globe of Qantas call centres, and finally found someone in Cape Town who realised that indeed there was a problem and that my flight needed to be re-ticketed.

He didn't know the reason why the booking had dropped off... but coincidentally as soon as the booking was reticketed and restored, then the points for the offset (which, strangely, had not been deducted until this time) instantly deducted from my account surprise surprise.

So my advice would be that if you are feeling inclined to do something good and offset your flight retrospectively, maybe look at other companies other than Qantas who can offset it for you.

PS - does anyone have any advice on the most effective customer service communication channel to try to request my missing leaf for (retrospective) Flight Offset?

I dont really have big hopes of getting it, but I have the screenshots, so I thought I would at least try.

(I assume I can't contact Wellbeing App customer service if the leaf relates to a flight offset....)

I have an existing booking in My Account with the option to offset using Qantas Points (not $$$). Has anyone actually had any luck in obtaining a green tier leaf for offsetting flying using Qantas Points instead of paying $? It's 94 points for each leg Gold Coast to Sydney (total 188 pts). Surely if the leaf is not awarded after 7 days you should have recourse to take this up with Qantas?

What would be the best method to contact Qantas to award the leaf manually in this instance? Is there an email address or feedback form that goes to the Green department within Qantas?
