I had an overall very positive experience on Sunday, SYD-LHR. My points upgrade cleared just over 7 days in advance, in time for me to select my favourite seat. F check-in was then very helpful in sorting out an issue with my passport with Canberra over the phone.
The F lounge dragon asked me if I wanted to eat and then walked me to a table in the restaurant and told them to look after me (only downside was the decanter was MIA).
Then in DXB, I received an escort from the plane to the lounge (this was slightly embarrassing as I've done this walk a dozen times before without said escort, but when we got there, there was a really panicked-looking Aussie desperate for assistance from Qantas. So I happily gave him my escort, and hopefully she was able to solve his problems ☺).
On the DXB-LHR leg, I had Mr OJ from my previous post again. He remembered me (unfortunately I think it was more than just the iPad, as he only "remembered" the guy behind me later in the flight ☺) and proactively suggested apple juice! I did talk to him later in the flight, and found out we had a lot in common, so no hard feelings.
No one mentioned P1 the entire trip, but it did seem like they were making a special effort.
NB: all this was in F not whY, which could make a difference.
