Qantas Platinum One experiences?

P1 has been the biggest joke ever. You will see it drop even further with numbers. I am cancelling all my forward bookings where possible and using other airlines to ensure I won't requalify. The people in Canberra are the nastiest ever with attitude. I hope they're in the batch of 5000 people to go from Qantas. They are a waster of space.

Is your name missing an 'h" after the W.. to wish and hope for someone to lose their job is just bizarre. I'm sure they'll be glad to see the back of you.. You even missed the attack back at you in the post below yours. Enjoy the other airlines.

Yet another involuntary seat shift by the QF gods at online check in for my flight tomorrow (and not into J). I think I have had more involuntary seat moves in a single year as a P1 than my past seven years as a WP.

Suggest you ring the P1 team and complain about it I assume you have a worse seat than originally selected

Like I'll be sure to see the back of them - and yes as bizarre as it seems I would rather see a group of 6 useless SSTs lose their jobs than the whole reservations department of BNE and MEL. That is very sad. They actually have people that do amazing work.

I have never had a seat change, but where i fly not many CL's dare to go (WA regional that is) i assume its a CL who is on your seat now. Complain and say its not good enough to happen again and again.

The P1 apologies and excuses team will not do anything useful except apologise. I got it sorted out by the standard WP line. No reason could be provided for the shift either.....

Also PlebStatus in relation to your seating once it's assigned they shouldn't reassign to someone else even if they have an higher status. The move of seat can only be justified for true operational requirements not because he/she has higher status than you.

Unfortunately for the rest of us, CL can bump anyone they want (not sure about other CLs).

Pleb Status - what was the seat change and on what aircraft? I'm guessing it wasn't an equipment change?

No equipment change. Moved from 23J (which appears on all 767 seat maps, unlike 23B which can go missing on the 767 int config aircraft) to 25J. Now back in 23J as originally selected about four months ago.

Mrs B and I (both SG) were asked to move from 1A 1C to 2A 2C for a CL but refused to move. QF got 1D & F to move. Why should we move? We paid our money, we selected available seats.

1. The BNE and MEL call centre staff have been offered jobs in HBA.
2. You seem a most unpleasant person - rather hypocritical for you to complain about the lack of "class and social decorum" in others.

23J is a bassinet seat so possibly someone with an infant had requested a BSCT.

I have had that happen previously and they use this as the the excuse for the move. In this case, and for many others, QF have not opted to state that this was the cause of the shift.

In almost every case where I have not resisted the change (as I generally find out about it at the gate), the move is to accommodate a couple travelling together (without an infant). So I generally get a seat shift and may lose my rare P1 shadow both at the same time.

i miss the ZX* series 767 with the mini Y cabin at the front (rows 23/24) and the bassinet seats in row 25.

Having a very busy day flying MEL-PER-SYD I was counting on QF to make the journey as smooth as possible and they managed to do everything right today.
Everything worked perfectly, from priority boardings to on time departures to personal greetings to amazing service, good food, good wine, international J cabin on the way to SYD, shadow in J on both legs, even hot towels made a comeback!
I was glad to get a reminder why I choose to fly QF for my domestic business.
Thanks Qantas for taking care of me today :)

Good to hear P1 is working for someone. On Friday, I could not get a Y shadow despite more than 65 empty Y seats on a 767 (I counted them on expert flyer as the front door closed).

Hot towels? Hot diggity!

Non - yesterday on flight QF 476
Not a hot towel in sight and the pretzels outnumber the cashews at about 1:1000 ratio (sic). My little pre dinner packet had two at the bottom of the bag. The little packet had written Cashews and pretzels. As if cashews were the main ingredient. However this is not the case!!!

The cashew only packets have gone the way of the dodo and soon it seems the cashews in the pretzel and cashews packets
