OK - here's an interesting development... I went in to check the vouchers referred to in the e-mail, and it is not yet on the QFF account PC page, but the wine voucher I pasted above is there, and it now shows as 'No Minimum Spend'!?

It looks like the birthday voucher [now?] has no minimum spend, but the PC renewal voucher might have different terms - this is what I have now... and I noticed in the voucher code the first part tells you what type of voucher it is, before the unique key:

My new membership year (starting Sep) $50 vouchers for hotels and wine have landed in the inbox this morning. Let's see if I'll go 3 years without redeeming either one. I have gifted them all thus far!

Oh, so you did receive an email for each?

I just got the Hotel voucher at the start of Aug (birthday is Oct). But the website now says you should get wine voucher on rollover…

This was the body of the e-mail I got, a week out from the new membership year. I had requalified for PC 2-3 months beforehand, though. No specific vouchers or references in the mail. The links both went to where the vouchers are shown in the account PC area on QFF. Both the new ones, plus the b'day voucher from earlier in the year are in that spot

Hmm. I got the old school Hotel voucher email:

“Your exclusive Points Club $50 Qantas Hotels voucher is enclosed”

With the voucher embedded in the email. No mention of the wine voucher and I still can’t see vouchers in my dashboard after 12+ mths since that change…. They must obviously know that feature doesn’t work for everyone. The only thing I can think of is that I’m QBR also? (Which has its own section on My Account).

I had assumed that SCs earned on Classic Awards due to PC woudlnt count towards loyalty bonus, however looking at my progress on the website it appears they do.

I guess for a WP this is functionally only double their regular earn (when booked in Economy, less if booked in Premium). Still, not bad I suppose. Of course, DSC is always preferred

Nice promo for those eligible. I don't have Points Club and don't anticipate getting that anytime soon as I have more than enough points at the moment, so if they do a DSC promo just for Points Club members I would be a bit disappointed.

As Points Club is aimed at QF members who don't fly much, I guess this is an encouragement. More points might lead to enough for a classic reward? I already have a raft of future flights booked, which is always the case when a promotion comes out! Three times double points for WP?

I'd be slightly more swayed by this if the WP apology points didnt max out my PC flight allocation for the year.

Shows how clever QF Loyalty are - I don't earn points for redemptions anymore (or at least not directly), I earn points to earn PC to earn SC on my redemptions. Then I just so happen to have points to redeem.
