Qantas Points Club Discussion

Interesting it's targeted and there are PCP members who didn't get the offer.
Wonder if it's based on earn or redemption amounts?

If it is targeted, then its likely been addressed to people who do not have many paid flights in their history. The benefit to QF to offer 3x points for flights to a WP1 member who is already flying a lot, it likely considered less than enticing a PC+ member who rarely flies to purchase flights as part of this promotion.

Two data points, SYD+1 and I are both WP/PC and received the 2x offer. We both have some recent flights completed and future bookings.

Both our PC flights miles quotas are maxed out thanks to the 30K gift.

As a Gold (LTG) status member and PC+ member, I received the 3x points offer. The only flights I have taken in the last 2.5 years are FF classic rewards, so have earned some SCs but no points from flying. I have no non-rewards future bookings. I will be most unlikely to make any use of this particular offer.

I can quash that theory. Since March 1st I have taken 9 paid flights and only 2 classic reward flights. Plus, I have numerous advance bookings, both paid and reward. With so many future bookings, there is no way I will be booking another flight by the end of this month. Perhaps that is the reason for the targeted offer: it won't be used!

Yeah similar position here, got the promo, taken 30 odd flights since March (maybe 5 classic rewards) though I only had 1 booked trip for January as my work stuff is mostly planned within a week or 2... did entice me to jump on a couple of trips though.

Got an X3 offer. Last trip was in mid August, award, next one in feb, award.

Apologies if this has been answered before but the offer:

"Boost your Status Credits

As a member of Points Club, when you book your next seat using Qantas Points you will earn Status Credits on Qantas marketed Classic Flight Rewards"

I have a couple of Emirates reward flights booked next year. Booked through Qantas but the flights are EKxx_. Are these eligible for status rewards because I have just ticked over the Green FF tier? If they are, I'll have enough SCs to retain silver - if not, I'll take the 10,000 FF points

many thanks

No, Qantas marketed means it must be on a QF flight number.

EK flight number means Emirates marketed, not Qantas marketed - so, no.

Not eligible. Must be QF flights.

EKxx_ is EK marketed, so you won't earn status credits. It's generally not possible to book classic awards on partner carriers with a QF flight number (there are some very niche exceptions but this advice applies to the vast majority of routes/partners)

Green Tier has no relevance here, your Points Club membership is what allows you to earn SC through Qantas marketed awards.

As I noted in the other thread, my WP 30,000 points thank you gift had to be manually credited due to an issue in the Qantas system (it gave me the gold gift instead of the WP one).

Anyway, I just noticed that the manually credited 30,000 points counted towards Points Club (they credited as "Earned on the ground", I already maxed out my 20,000 "in the air" points this year)! I guess I'm gonna get Plus this year after all.

Yes, I got that same email, but couldn't find anything in my account. So where exactly are these vouchers shown?
Has anyone been able to find the $100 hotel voucher and 2 $50 wine vouchers that come with PC+? Clifford couldn't find his on 12 September but I'm wondering if they have turned up by now. They are supposed to be in "My Account" but I can't find them.

They show up on your Points Club page:

I still don’t get that version of the page…☹️

I thought it might because I have a QBR banner under Points Club but I only realised in the last week or so that SYD+1‘s dashboard hasn’t been upgraded either (no QBR banner)….

We we’re both trying to work out if we‘d received birthday booze vouchers (apparently not yet) but we did both got the the $50 QF Hotel voucher within days of status rollover at the start of Aug.

I'm the opposite, I got only the birthday booze voucher (was PC at the time) and no hotels after both attaining PC+ and then rolling over into the PC+ year.
