Qantas Points Club Discussion

Anyone have experience with Qantas Hotels points posting, and whether they're backdated to the date of your stay? If so, are the points backdated to check-in or check-out date?

TIA.

QF Hotel points normally take 4 weeks to post. I'm not sure if they are backdated because the points say, arrive on 22 Sep for 22 Aug stay and they carry an entry as to the date on which the earn happened

Ok, good to know. To get to Points Club Plus I need my QF hotel points to post in 4 weeks or less for a stay I just completed (if they're not backdated). Hopefully they arrive in time.

Looks like a positive enhancement to the My Bookings screen: They now show SC earn for award bookings! That's pretty useful.

Nice find!

Wonder if this mean I will get 7 status credits for the following SYD-MEL flight that I've booked on behalf of my sister and I will not be travelling on that flight.

Effective date is usually checkout and they can take about 6 wks to post.

A noted issue if you’re straddling PC years.

My bookings never show status credits - for either paid or points bookings
I think it's quite new - I'm seeing it now on my forward revenue and award bookings (login on PC browser and go to 'My Bookings'), and it shows the QFF points that would be earned (for my tier level), as well as the SCs, for revenue flights. I don't think it's a PC thing, but handy!:

Cheers.

Sounds good. In this instance I actually want it to post into the old year. I just hope having the credits come through and being granted PCP retroactively doesn't mean I have to manually call up for SC rollover etc.... (who a I kidding, I probably do)

I noticed the same feature, it's neat.
Something I have been very confused about is how I managed to get 18 (instead of 16) status credits on a recent flight from Syd to Adel in J....

The first rule of Point Club (mistakes) is you don’t talk about Points Club (mistakes) 😉
Speaking of which, can anyone share how/when DSC (under the latest promo) have landed for award flights due to PC (without posting numbers)? Is it a seperate transaction?

Edit: not implying that them being awarded at all is mistaken! Just requesting not to publish numbers

That's how it looks like for the promo End March 2022 on a reward Q metal, as a separate transaction, a few days after the normal SC posted (same day as flying)

For those who haven’t received the email, there’s some reasonable bonus point promos over at QF Wine. Quite a few ~10k offers.

Best value as far as points per dollar spent would be the Fly me Premium Red Six, earning 50.5 points per dollar for a Points Club Plus member (gets 10% discount on purchases), which is 2500 points per bottle at $49.50 per bottle. I make no comment on the value of the wine, but note that 50.5 points per dollar spent, plus the usual points earn for spend with Qantas Wine plus any bonuses for using a specific credit card seems pretty good earn rate with some free wine thrown into the deal.

Yep, the mixed doz do tend to have some good pts deals but there’s the risk they there’s something you’re not fond of.

I’ve got one of the white doz in my shopping bag. Trying to track down my PC wine voucher…

But when the wine comes free with the points purchase, the risk is easier to manage ;)

I went for a cheaper case of 6 with a reasonable points earning and a style I was looking for specifically.

I’m running low on white quaffers. The white mixed looks ok. There’s some red deals that are quite good both drinking, price and points.
