Qantas Points Club Discussion

I also got the Points Club Plus "thank you gift" wine vouchers today. Nowhere close to my birthday.
Have you recently qualified/requalified PC or PC+?
Is this month the start of your new membership year?
Can you actually see the vouchers in your "My Account" view?

No, I'm 129k points into my current year.

Is this month the start of your new membership year?

No, my anniversary is 30 Jun

Can you actually see the vouchers in your "My Account" view?

Yes. I now have 4 x $50 Wine vouchers, two from March (possibly when I last requalified for PC+) and two from today.

You should be able to see your vouchers in your points club status page. I can see the new one there, and some older one. One difference I notice is that there is no min 149$ spend explicitly specified. I assume that's a mistake, wondering if someone manage to use those new vouchers on a smaller than 149$ order

It's not a mistake, for the vouchers without a minimum spend requirement listed, there is in fact no such requirement. I bought a single $90-ish case with one of these without an issue.

I just received my Birthday $50 wine voucher today, with the $149 spend requirement It's my birthday later this month, so that seems to have worked ok. I'm a Points Club member.

If these vouchers from yesterday are "belated"? birthday vouchers, wonder if I will get another one for my birthday, later this month.
And like the rest of you, had already purchased 2 cases of wine then the sale email came out.

Team Lat34 held off next wine order ONLY because I emailed QFF about missing birthday voucher end Sep & received next-day response that known birthday voucher issue would be resolved within five days. Thankfully, received as promised 🙏

Anyone had any luck getting the $100 Qantas Hotel voucher reissued for a cancelled booking? It was through no fault of my own. I booked a flight with Qantas from Doha -> Canberra in July, and got an email 10 days before travel that they were changing the flight to Doha -> Melbourne. So now I need to cancel the hotel in Canberra and rebook in Melbourne. Called Qantas Hotels and they are refusing to budge, simply stating that those vouchers are not refundable.

It was a 100% free cancellation hotel, and it is not my fault Qantas (or their partner airline) changed the city the flight will land in.... anyone know who to escalate to try and get another voucher reissued?

Yes I have had mine reinstated in the past after cancelling a booking. An email to them explaining the circumstances of the cancellation should yield a good outcome.

A little gotcha for PC members. Thought I was two comp lounge passes short to emailed QF to ask for them (and if not eligible for them to provide me with a record of using my entitlement up).

Lo and behold got an email stating that there was a “technical error” on my account and the two passes would be added soon.

Worth keeping an eye on your lounge passes. Unfortunately your QF Account will only record redemptions as transactions, not when you are given the passes (as far as I know).

It has taken me 100 days to get to 187,500 QF points for this year, so club member again, should easily make Points Club Plus again for the 3rd year at current rate.
My only wish is that I could transfer the benefits, as being Platinum, most of the benefits I already have.

Do you get the 100SC rollover at the end of a membership year where you lose PCP?

Eg
2021-22: Attain PCP.
2022-23: PCP from previous year qualification. Fail to qualify for PCP again.
2023-24: No PCP due to lack of qualification in previous year.

In this scenario, it's clear you get 100SC rollover from 2021-22 into 2022-23 membership year.

But do you get 100SC rollover from 2022-23 into 2023-24 membership year?

I had a September birthday but did not receive vouchers like everyone else seems to have received by the way :p

Still holding off on purchases.

Oh, that reminds me I need to call QF to get my actual voucher number - sigh….

I don't think I did in the past, dropping from PCP to nothing. I could be mistaken but am reasonably sure that's what happened.

Has anyone had any issues with the Qantas wine voucher recently, I have one loaded into my account as part of benefit from points club and when I tried to use it tonight, it only turned out that voucher is not valid, and I didn't receive any extra vouchers in my birthday month either.

Also as per Qantas website, below discount doesn't apply either.

Points Club members will receive complimentary Qantas Wine Premium membership for the duration of their Points Club membership. Points Club Plus members will receive complimentary Qantas Wine Premium membership, plus an additional 10% discount on marked prices at Qantas Wine on all products, excluding Penfolds, for the duration of their Points Club Plus membership. 10% discount will be applied at checkout and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer or voucher code, except for the Points Club Plus birthday vouchers.

Using vouchers online is a waste of time. Website is utter cr*p. Need to ring up. I miss the old website
