Qantas Points Club Discussion

monthly blocks after the monthly statements are issued.
Which is fine, as long as the points are issued at the end of the first month OR the month when the spending threshold is met ... ANZ, at least in my instance, is making me wait another month before issuing the bonus points even though I had achieved the threshold within a few days of card issue ...

As you know Qantas shopping points can take 4 months to post, finally had some come through but instead of helping points club for this year, they back dated them to last year when the spend occurred, grrr. Hope the same doesnt happen when ANZ finally post the Telco bonus.

QF hotel pts behave the same way…(but at least only 6 wks).

Timing is everything in this game!

Somewhat ironically, I was pushing for PC+ this year, but am now unlikely to make it, so likewise I'm hoping ANZ stall awarding the bonus for another month (same with Bankwest and their 5k for the transaction account). My gut feel is they will probably do it via statements like normal CC bonuses, so if it doesn't come in the next few days it will be next membership year for me.

True, but QF Hotels bonus points worked in my favour over xmas, because although they were delayed posting, the back dating meant I hit points club earlier and they subsequently awarded SCs on award flights where I thought Id missed out.

So they actually counted correctly towards the previous PC year - which will be useful info for others here who might otherwise be spewing if some wayward points didn’t land in time and they thought they’d just missed out on attaining/retaining PC.

Although, it would be a cough / weird surprise to discover 6 mths later that some random points for a pair of jocks back dated you to PC!

In my case it wasnt the previous year, but at the time I flew in January the QF Hotels points from a Dec stay had not hit. They finally posted in February, so QF then awarded me SCs in Feb for the Classic Reward flights taken in Jan as I should have been Points Club plus if not for the delayed posting of the QF hotels points.

But I imagine would work the same way across PC years, as my Qantas Shopping points for a clinique purchase in April just posted last week, but the points arent included in this years PCs tally.

I am PC+ and have an August birthday and received my two wine vouchers in later July. That is, at least a month before my actual birth date. I used them immediately rather than forget!

What I don't like about the hotel vouchers is that they stay in place once used and don't disappear. Can be confusing.
I thought the same, but there’s actually a faint or partially hidden ‘x’ in the upper right hand corner, and you can choose to remove it, once no longer needed. The system isn’t smart enough to know you’ve used it, but they do disappear once expired.

Cheers,
Matt.

I had hit that last month and am now hoping my birthday vouchers aren't also hiding ;)

I ddint receive my hotel voucher when I qualified for PC, nor when I rolled over to new FF year. Raised a ticket ages ago, guess its time to chase. Its not related to communication preferences because the wine one appeared no worries.

My new membership year (starting Sep) $50 vouchers for hotels and wine have landed in the inbox this morning. Let's see if I'll go 3 years without redeeming either one. I have gifted them all thus far!

Cheers,
Matt.

This definitely suggests something's gone awry with mine - I qualified for PC+ back in May (from previous year PC) and my new membership year was end Jul, haven't had a voucher since the $50 wine voucher on my birthday month, which was pre-qualifying for PC+ so was just a single $50 voucher.

I emailed frequent_flyer and got summarily ignored. I guess I should chase up again. At least my PC page now shows vouchers, thats an upgrade from a few months ago when I had the old page and so couldn't tell if I'd missed an email or not.

M situation exactly, I qualified for PC in Dec, my birthday was in April and my new FF year started August - no hotel voucher received. Logged a ticket, was told to check my junk folder (which shouldn't be necessary as are supposed to show online). I need to follow-up again.

I'm trying to redeem my wine voucher - this is my first time buying Qantas wine.
On my Points Club page it says the $50 voucher has "no minimum spend" but when I add the voucher as a "discount code" I get the error message , "discount code not applicable to this cart" when I proceed to checkout.
I don't see any way to enter the voucher on the check-out screen - my only option is credit card.
How do I figure out what items I can actually spend this voucher on? (The item I was trying to buy was "Mystery Sauvignon Blanc Premium Adelaide Hills.")

There’s usually a $149 min spend with the PC vouchers.

Add the voucher in the “Promo code” in your cart. If it’s an older code, you may have to call to redeem.

Agreed - post #790 above confirms with image

OK - here's an interesting development... I went in to check the vouchers referred to in the e-mail, and it is not yet on the QFF account PC page, but the wine voucher I pasted above is there, and it now shows as 'No Minimum Spend'!?
