Qantas Premier Titanium card

Hey dairyfloss, what's the best way to contact the concierge about booking a ticket that I was only able to price via a call book with QF directly in order to the get the 10% discount? Thanks!
Hi - if it’s tickets for you and/or you plus one other pax, then you call the main QF Money concierge number (1300 992 700) as a cardholder to make the booking and get 10% off the base fare in advance (including sale fares). If they need support to make the booking, they can connect/call through to the QF agents to help them, I believe.

If you are trying to do something after the event, then that was by email, and I’ve recently heard that the flexibility I enjoyed last year on this might not be an option any longer. They just want people booking via the concierge over the phone. No reimbursement method (supposedly).

Cheers,
Matt.

Hi All I'm new to this thread, just want to confirm that no 10% discount or 20% bonus SC can be applied to Emirates flight with QF numbers?

Does the 20% bonus SC apply for bookings made under the QF business rewards portal?

Haven't seen anything to indicate.

Also, WTF is with all the stupid security codes and dumb questions just to see a statement FFS.
Had difficulty in redeeming the Titanium F lounge vouchers too.

Likewise …
Likewise for me, just one payslip.

Has anyone had a go at applying for this with an income under $200k (say something like $180k)?

I recall other cards with high income thresholds being a little bit flexible but I haven’t read anything about this one

Whilst reviewing and considering this card, I'm curious about the ability to use the 10% discount on "multi city" bookings. The T&C on the Qantas Money page indicate clearly that multi city fares are ineligible.

The actual terms and conditions document defines a multi city itinerary as any itinerary that includes two or more flights.

The same Terms and Conditions, at 4.8 state that the benefit applies to flights that include a stopover, but not flights that form part of a multi city itinerary.

So, I'm trying to understand what the define as a stop over, versus a multi city itinerary.

I.e, I presume MEL-xSYD-LAX-MEL gets the benefit because your transitting Sydney. But what if I wanted to stop over in sydney for 3 days? Would that be considered a stop over or part of a multi city itinerary?

They won’t allow it. Consider the rule as allowing for connecting flights, but not much else.

You might be able to do an overnight in SYD on a connection, but you wouldn’t get away with 3 days. In this instance, you’d be better off booking the flights separately so you can claim the discount solely on the larger fare.

Cheers,
Matt.

Thanks Matt. I don't like the answer but appreciate it. That made the decision not to pursue the card a little easier.

Some changes were announced today with regard to the QF Money Premier products, which I find in my situation to be favourable, for the most part. I've highlighted the positive ones in green. Yet to see what 'Online Access' for bookings actually means, but hoping it's something like the Qantas Business Rewards interface for making bookings with a base fare discount applied, which one would access via their Qantas Money account. In any event, I hate booking over the phone, especially with these often clueless concierge services, and so being able to self-manage, as and when I want is perfect.

The increase on the discounted fares benefit from being limited to 2 adult pax on a single booking, twice per year, to being available for up 2 adults + up to 2 children + up to 2 infants on a single booking, twice per year, greatly increases the chances of recovering the annual fee through the discounts. I managed to cover the fee in YR 1 from the 2 adults, but fell short this year, as 2 of our o/s J trips were CRs. With 3 in the family, an additional fare discount on revenue J travel is good.

Theres one item in orange which could cause headaches for some... I read this as being QF's ability to cancel your bookings where you have used the discount to book a multi-city or other ineligible for discount fare. Hopefully the system is smart enough to warn you in the booking process, and if not, that they would at least give you the opportunity to change it, before cancelling.

There are also some changes to the interest free period and retail APR % which don't make any difference for me, as I'm on auto-pay for the period, post statement, but suspect may be negative for some.

What are the changes?

• The Interest Free Period for Retail Purchases on your account is reducing from up to 55 days to up to 44 days which means that your Payment Due Date will change. All statements issued on or after 5 November 2024 will have a due date that is 14 days from the statement end date. Please refer to the important information below on what you should do for future repayments.

• Effective 5 November 2024, the Annual Percentage Rate that applies to your Retail Purchases will increase to 20.99% p.a. (up from 19.99%) Any unpaid Retail Purchase Balances (including fees and charges) and any new Retail Purchases will be charged at the new Annual Percentage Rate of 20.99% p.a.

• We are including a new section in the Terms and Conditions about Mistaken Internet Payments and amending the terms on “Limits on use”.

• We are removing “Mistaken Internet Payment” as a defined term from section 17 Dictionary.

• Effective from 1 December 2024, the Discounted Fares Benefit will only be accessible via Online Access instead of Qantas Premier Titanium Concierge Service.

• Effective from 1 December 2024, we are improving the Discounted Fares Benefit from “two travellers, twice per year” to allow up to two adults, two children and two infants per booking, twice per year.

• Effective from 1 December 2024, Qantas reserves the right to cancel any Discounted Fares Benefit bookings made by You that are not compliant to the Benefit Terms and Conditions.

• A new “Anniversary Year” definition has been included to clarify the benefit period.

• We provided clarity on the eligibility criteria to earn the Status Credit Benefit.

See here for the full notice:

Cheers,
Matt.

I'd be keen to know if others tend to get rid of this card after a while. I've never used some of the benefits like 10% off ticket price, or the 2 passes into Qantas first lounge.

Realising that it's a $1200 renewal, and I'll likely get as much bang for buck via my amex, I'll probably cut this one.

I did call concierge and try a cheeky 'would you throw in some bonus renewal points but answer was a flat no.

Interested in others thoughts.

I can recoup all or most of the fees with the fare discounts, made easier now with the expansion to provide the benefit on child fares in the same bookings; and the 20% bonus status credits is very helpful as a self-funded QFF Platinum member. I don't use the F lounge passes as I have status which provides this already; I do gift the general passes to family, which they appreciate. No plans to move on at this time.

Cheers,
Matt.

Late response but yes it does.

What was the difficulty in redeeming the F lounge pass?
Late response but the difficulty is redeeming for JQ flights. I never found a way around that one. There is also difficulty in redeeming for someone travelling with you on the same flight, but on a different booking. The way around that one was calling the frequent flyer line. Interestingly, they did not ask for proof that my family member was travelling on the same flight as me (I had a booking reference ready to provide, but they never asked) and the way they actually enabled the activation of that pass was configuring my account to allow me to transfer the Titanium pass myself to my travel companion.

We have the same issue

My wife and I are travelling on separate outbound redemption bookings on the same flight but returning on the same booking

Explained the situation and asked for the account to be configured to allow the transfer of my invitation to my wife's booking (on the same flight). I have already assigned one to my booking

Got a very bureaucratic and inflexible "computer says no" response.

Very rarely travel Qantas so no useful status in the FF Programme

Did you speak with the FF people or the Titanium people? Do you have QF status that gets you more leverage? Just trying to figure out whether I'll cancel my First Lounge access and stick to the J one (travelling J) or try and push the matter through other channels

I spoke to the FF call centre. At the time I was Gold but not sure if that makes a difference.

When I called, I said I have two Titanium passes that I wanted to use when travelling with my travel companion, we are on the exact same flight but we are on different bookings/reference numbers. I then asked could they please link it for me. They put me on hold to work out how to do that and then that’s when they came back and said that they would need to escalate to another support team who would configure my account within 24 hours to allow me to transfer one pass. (I didn’t ask them to let me transfer it - sorry my initial response skipped straight to how it actually happened in practice).

I would try again if I were you. I suspect any use of the word “transfer” would elicit a computer says no response. Plus the FF call centre is one where it is often possible to get multiple different answers to the same question.
