Qantas Restaurants that HAVE or HAVE NOT awarded points

Agree. The machine not working line is a joke as the QFF card is just run through the standard EFTPOS machine.

Had lunch at Jago's on Miller today.

Lunch was $52, but QFF card run through the machine for $60. No trouble at all and the food was pretty good. Will be interesting to see how long it takes for the points to post.

Yama Japanese cafe in the Queen Victoria Building, Sydney CBD 11th January.
Food ok, service quite good for a cafe.
No problem accepting the QFF card, points posted 24th and 30th Jan.

Watermark in Docklands. OK food but cough service. Citibank Dining Partner and QF Bonus Partner. Got my free wine (which was awful; like flavoured water) and never got my bonus points. 2/10. Would not bang.

Re: Qantas Restaurants NOT awarding points

I have started a new list in post 1 for 2013. Many of the restaurants mention have left the program. Please post you more recent experiences as to points posting.

Does anyone know how much it costs the restaurant to give out QFF points (like $0.01 per point ??)?

Sky Phoenix (Westfield Sydney)'s excuse was 'the price for the dinner was very good already... No point could be given out...'

I didn't argue as someone else (without a QFF card) was picking up the 5-figure tab.

BEASLEYS TEAHOUSE in Victoria is very happy to accept the card and points posted.
Quite a nice little place located in a garden centre, and food quite good too. This is just like a little cafe, with service to match.

ISTHMUS OF KRA in Victoria, also accepted the card and points posted within a week.

If they advertise points-earning, which attracts (some) customers, then they should give them.

As for how much it costs them, there's a figure in this thread, I'm lazy but I thought it was 5%... which probably explains why the program is contracting.

For accuracy, Yama Japanese Cafe visit was on 11th Jan.

There is an answer posted upthread - 6%.

Thank you

The thread is way too loooong to dig out that figure. My bad, my sons would tell me !

6% of a 5-figure meal !

That's $600 at the minimum !

Odd that they can pick & choose.

30 couples' dinners would rack up the same amount and I'd bet they would honour the points but for one large-group dinner, with a customized menu, they saw it differently.

Blu Ginger in Canberra still credits points, took about 2 weeks.

Have eaten at Yama in QVB also a couple of times in the past few months - no problem accepting card and points posted promptly (as Emu notes as well so it is probably consistent).

Well Jago's on Miller posted in about 5 days.

Meal was only $52 but they seem to have run it through the machine at $60....180 points posted.

Choi,s in Hawthorn does not award Qantas points anymore or give free bottle of wine with Citibank dining program, So solly they say.

Sushi Masa Melbourne still on website but told me they no longer participate. I've advised QFFF.... I didn't keep the receipt so they said they cant help me with getting any points, but it's only 225 point i missed anyway. :-|

Can confirm the Hockey club in Toowoomba still participates, and is now my default lunch meeting venue when I am up there!

Last visit to Golden Century in Sydney in April: they told me they no longer participate. Still in Citi Dining but double dip no longer available. JV
