Spice Market Thai - Double Bay NSW Sydney
3 points per $ credited within 4 days to QFF account.
I have epiqure membership so would have an extra 1 point per $ but not yet posted, anyone know when the bonus will be posted? Or it will never post??

thanks for the report..it's always good to be kept up to date with these
I thought I would never get my epiqure bonus from one of mine. It took about six weeks

Sadly my favourite Sushi place in Sydney, UMI no longer give out points as of today... decided not to renew they said, which was a shame.. oh well.

Oh, they did points?

That place is actually near where I live - my PO box is in the building. I keep meaning to try it but haven't!

I take it that despite the points issue, it's good?

Has anyone here who has epiqure membership received 4 points per $ at QF restaurants instead of the normal 3 points? I received my 3 points per $ but a week has passed and still no sign of the extra bonus point...

Yes I have received the extra bonus point; sometimes it takes a few weeks. JV

Yeah they did..

Actually I was going there before they started doing points. And yes they are good! I'll still go there, just will only get 3 points per dollar, not 7!

Pod, Piailgo ACT

El Phoenician, Walsh Bay Sydney

-- both claimed their machines were not working and promised to process the points manually. Neither has in 4 weeks.

Pod has previously awarded points so not sure why their machine is suddenly now broken. Disappointing.

On following up with Pod, they were most apologetic and sought to have the points applied (but I had already sorted out with QFF) so I think the omission was genuine.

HOWEVER, El Phoenician, despite me following up and their promise to rectify, has not. Very disappointing and won't be going back, which is a shame because the food was nice.

Din Tai Fung still credits, very quickly and efficiently too.

Out of curiosity, how much does the points cost the restaurant?

Upthread, 6% is indicated ...

Lord, no wonder they're dropping out! I thought it would have been about 1 per cent; the marketing that goes with it is pretty passive (ie you have to go onto the Qantas website to search for a restaurant) and a sticker for the door -- that you open after you've attended. I'm really surprised that it's that much.

Having said that, and in stark contradiction to what I've said above, I have attended restaurants that I normally would thought never to do (or even to know to do) on the basis of them being FF affiliated. Some of them have been so good -- like Bar Barossa in Brisbane -- that I've recommended them to others, FF interested or not. So I guess it cuts both ways.

Feel the same way, have gone to one in particular that I'll probably never go to again, especially now they're not listed as participating even by Qantas anymore. They did make business out of me they wouldn't have got otherwise... and then lost it completely with their attitude to giving me points.

There's not many left in QLD, might try some local ones soon though before the program completely dries up.

I agree and SA is down to 6 from appox 12 restaurants at one time.

Of the last two places that 'awarded points' and have given me a QFF Points receipt, I still had to contact QF to get the points onto my statement (Tin Cat Cafe) and the get the correct number of points awarded (From Orient).

Seems like their systems are breaking down.

Monk & Me Malaysian in Camberwell no longer participates in the scheme. Tried to claim points today but was told this by waitstaff.
