Qantas Restaurants that HAVE or HAVE NOT awarded points

I was waiting for someone to comment on this to make sure it wasn't just me.
I have had three similar experiences - Finz Restuarant told me their machine was broken and couldn't be processed and Burwood Tepanyaki told me their machine hadn't arrived yet (despite advertising Qantas FF points) and promised to credit my points at a later date... which obviously never happened.

I have never actually managed to earn any QFF points from meals despite numerous attempts. The whole program seems like a bit of a crock to me.

That's bad luck! I have to say I'm the complete opposite, I'm running at 100% and it's a great points earner for me as I entertain a lot for work!

Hope you are reporting your bad experiences.

Please report your good experiences - we can organise a white list. :)

re: Qantas Restaurants that DO or DO NOT award points

Good List: Din Tai Fung in Sydney gave me points

Positive: Hilltop Phoenix Chinese Restaurant - Castle Hill. Dined 28/12/2010, points posted 10/1/2011.

Didn't see it on the table in post 1...

Bergerac in Melbourne has given me points twice, no problems...

It's been more than 6 months - but Red Cray Seafood in Perth credited fine

Be careful with the road construction on Great Eastern Highway at the moment though

I took drewbles to lunch at a Japanese restaurant in Melbourne, IZAKAYA CHUJI, on 13 April and the points posted on 21 April.

It's the only one I've done.

Kingsley's Steakhouse in Bridge St Sydney has worked many times without a failure (as has the branch at Lime Street twice) and should be on the white list.

Le Pain Quotidien in Sydney is still listed on the map on the QFF site (and still advertises QFF points on its own website) but I had breakfast at the Surry Hills one last week and was told they've now left the program.

In Perth:
  • Red Cray, points posted in 11 days (used in conjunction with Citibank free wine offer, double-dipping with Myer One points)
  • Black Swan, points posted in 8 days (also double-dipping with Myer One points)

Hi everyone,

Really good to get feedback from you all. Both positive and negative do help us out. The table at the start of the post is great and I will send this off to our Restaurants team today to get them working on solving the machine problems the restaurants are having.

If any of you have been to any other restaurants where you have not been awarded points (and not already in the table), let me know and I will pass on as well.

Cheers,
Red Roo

Thank you Red Roo. Feedback from both sides is required. I'm sure the Restaurant Team will be having some interesting phone calls with partner restaurants on the "no list".

Whilst I'm sure it's not the main point earning potential for almost the absolute majority of us, every point helps. It is probably very frustrating that the isses about non points earning (machines broken, left program etc) are only found out at the end - it would be nice to clear up before the meal consumed and the bill is ready to be paid. It's not something you'd expect to have to ask at the beginning of the meal.

Yes, one needs to be confident that if there are QFF signs out the front than one will actually earn the three points per dollar and a smilewith little additional effort.
