Thanks Markis, will have to wait till tomorrow in the office, I know she has her Expedia Booking number, I think I will have to check her emails as well as her English is a bit limited ...by the way everyone talks about looking at Expedia through Chrome, I just did that but could not see much difference on the Expedia site and wondering why that was suggested ?

Panic Over...I found a copy of her booking went in on the site and found the PNR which she said she did not have and have now printed her itinerary ready for tomorrow...phew had visions of having to give her the money out of my own pocket if the booking had fallen over...Thank you to everyone and also the info on Chrome as yes it then did translate for me ...now back to Mothers Day !!

First post after lurking on on this thread for a while.

I'm a bit concerned as I may have been charged for multiple flights via expedia. I selected the syd - sin return flight last night and proceed through the booking process. After entering my CC details, an error page came up saying the booking failed. I tried again and same thing occurred(My available balance had not changed on the 28D site).

Tried again next thing in the morning and the booking was successful(Available balance on 28D reduced roughly by the cost of this booking). A call from GE also followed. I have since logged into my QF FF bookings page and it has 3 bookings including the 2 'failed' bookings. I'm a bit concerned as all 3 bookings are confirmed with QF.

If it's not charged, perhaps it'll be cancelled automatically?
You may want to check with checkmytrip whether those failed and successful bookings have e-ticked number attached to them.

I had the exact same experience with my 28° Card (two fails late at night), though instead of trying the next morning I switched to a different card which worked right away. The flight I was booking was for a passenger who doesn't have QFF, so I'm not sure about it appearing at QF's end. I have $174.08 balance taken off my 28° Card. (No transactions are drawn down yet, 28° is notoriously slow).

I spoke to expedia.br last night (thankfully the guy who answered in Portugese also spoke great English) and he said it's not uncommon, and that it should just revert off my card if the reservation wasn't confirmed (I never got an itinerary or any confirmation emails following). I'll give it a couple more days, and see what happens. I'm hoping that it was just some holding charges that won't actually post and the balance will revert back. Otherwise I guess I'll try and do a chargeback.

I'll let you know when/if I hear anything.

Only the correct booking has the e-ticket attached to it, thanks for that.

I have one other question, there is no space between my first and middle name. Is this going to be an issue? I'm confident that it was entered correctly on the expedia site so I'm a bit confused.

why are you inputting middle names on airline reservations? not necessary.

I don't normally use my middle name, but when I do, on airline bookings it seems quite common for the space to be removed.

And my work bookings always say Dangermr.

Middle name is on my passport, I thought that it has to be an exact match to the travel document.

MIddle name not required. For flights to USA middle name has to be supplied to airline but not in the name section of the pnr. Ive never put the middle name there in my life and can cause problems crediting to your ff program if you do.

Agree,I've done it once on a USA flight, and it appeared with no space between first and middle name.
No dramas.

Hi,

I had to change a booking for my gf recently from being YUL->AKL and return to the return leg being SYD->YUL and different dates (move from May to Aug). Fees were:
Change fee: 200 CAD
Service Centre: 80 AUD
Change in taxes: 60 AUD

So seems like they didn't add the YQ back in. The first agent priced it at 399 from SYD or 338 from AKL and the second agent struggled so seems like a manual process.

Paul

Saw my CC statement for these charges and it seems its broken down into 3 components.
They have the main charge which is like $3xx and then another charge which came through a day later for around $50-60 then on the next day another charge for $1.39.

Still hasn't appeared in my QFF page though.

I had a kind fellow from qantas call me up about the extra flights and said he would remove them.

Since that the Expedia.br itinerary has changed from confirmed to unconfirmed stating that the price has changed and advises to call their number, the QF booking number has also come off the expedia itinerary although it is still up on the QF FF bookings page, CheckMyFlight still yields a e-ticket number for the booking.

Furthermore I have not actually received an itinerary from qantas. Would it be an issue if i just turn upto the airport with e-ticket number only(the number on CheckMyTrip)?

Last time I just check in online from the QF FF bookings page, print out the BP and had no trouble at the airport whatsoever. In the past, even when not checking in online or not printing out BP, I was able to go to the counter with my passport and QFF card and that's all that is required.
