Other than that, sometimes it can take an hour or two for the food to be even served giving a greatly reduced time for sleep. Also, breakfast is minimal these days being 'Cafe Style'.

True. When flying home from SIN i choose to have a feed in the lounge then just try to sleep on the plane. Last time I got about 5.5 hours. Solid on a 7 hour flight.

FYI Prices went up to standard post-sale prices, but appear to have dropped again (at least on my dates in early august) to $570 for those that need to urgently book. Obviously not as great as $375, but still reasonably cheaper than other fare sites.

Can someone please do a proper current J trip report to SIN and back? It sounds like we sorely need one!

I will happily do that as part of my lounge run in August. I don't know if it will be a fair report though, as the QF booking agent tells me that seat 1A is an F seat :D with J service (hey, I'm not complaining).

Also, we are getting off topic for this thread :p

^ Agreed.

I am using a JASA to get to SIN. Is anyone aware of a cheap booking site to get home (MEL)? At the moment the best I can see is using the QF SIN website. Expedia.br is a little dearer.

Dont forget MH is just up the road, Avianca is a little further but offers some good SQ options ;), or if you feeling like a bit of a regular Asian do, head up to TPE for the CX J $2200 return offering.

Malaysia Airlines has a one way special st 380SGD that might suit.

Why fly direct when you can connect? :p

Been following this great thread for months as need to take Mrs Moonshiner and child back to Aberdeen UK in October. The .br website is great as are all the tips on this thread. Even now for the 3pax on QF flights BNE to ABZ is $3K cheaper on the .br website than anywhere else. My query is whether QF is likely to have a UK sale in the next month or so?

I do believe they launched another sale today - Dublin from $1884 - I can't post links but just look for the international flight specials on the Qantas site and then search accordingly on .br

Ok, managed to change the flights my sister had booked for her family through expedia brazil last night :) I was on the phone (mostly on hold) for 3 hours:!:, apparently very complicated due to having adults, children and infant on same booking. Then CC failed when being processed so it took another hour on the phone this morning

So the saga continues. I have just discovered that I have been charged twice for the changes I made (x5). The change fee was $100 AUD (x5), and I have been charged by QANTAS AIRWAYS SAO PAULO for 203.79 BRL per passenger and EXPEDIA BRAZIL 203.77 per passenger (both are $100 AUD). I don't know whether to start again with expedia.com.br to look into these (aaaagh) or where to go. I think I will try via email first.
