Hi guys,
Just wondering your thoughts - will have to get in touch with the bank tomorrow.
Transaction went through fine and the bookings are still there on both QF and Expedia sites; However it appears that the pending amount for the flights appears to have disappeared off my card. The Expedia booking fee of 30BRL went through fine and posted, but my available credit has gone up by what I was expecting for the flights.
Anyone had this issue before? Bit nervous as my travel was for Thurs.
Edit: Bank said nothing pending and nothing rejected, transaction wasn't finalised by merchant - QF Sao Paulo?
Checkmytrip.com says all confirmed.
Just be aware that just because the transaction has not been finalised before the authorisation expired (authorisations expire after a few days - can't remember the exact timeframe, which may differ depending on things such as the merchant and the the of card) doesn't mean the transaction cannot and will not be processed at a later date. This has happened to me many times, though most often for car rental. Your situation is a little odd, given they've processed the fee, but this is probably due to it being two different merchants (Expedia and QF).

Had an interesting one yesterday. A while back I booked MEL-SIN-SGN//SGN-SIN-MEL on this deal all on the one ticket flying a combination of Qantas/Jetstar. Bags were checked in all the way through in Melbourne but were told we would have to pick up the Jetstar boarding passes from the transfer desk in Singapore. When we arrived in Singapore we headed to the transfer desk and handed over our passports, the lady banged away on the key board a bit and then gave someone a call. After getting off the phone she said 'sorry I can't issue your boarding passes as it says their is outstanding payment due on the tickets'. I just stated we had already paid in full and other than that not really knowing what to say I just stayed quiet to see what her solution was. Anyway she sent us away to wait, 20 minutes later she called us over and handed us our boarding passes, I didn't question her at all about what had happened and was just happy to have the boarding passes! Will be interesting to see what happens when we check back in at SGN in a few days, hopefully all is fine there.
I take it that is without a hotel stay?Just discovered (or maybe not) a new trick to avoid the Expedia booking fee.
If you generate an itinerary and then save it to an Expedia login profile, after around 2 hours the fees will have magically disappeared and you can book at the reduced total price!
This brings a typical SIN itinerary down to about $490 AUD.

Even though your ticket would've been under one PNR, was the SIN-SGN sector ticketed as QF or 3K?
It was ticketed on the QF 4 digit code share number.
Keep an eye on points posting for the SIN-SGN and return leg. I thought they would post as per norm but after tweeting qantas I have to call the FFSC to follow up.
I am pretty sure you are not entitled to points nor SCs when booked on a QF codeshare on JQ/3K etc.

Only if its in points earning classes BHK (Qantas marketed, operated by Jeststar or Jetstar Asia) L (Qantas marketed, operated by Jetstar and travelling on a oneworld fare), thats why I never book the codeshares, often a separate fare with plus pack is good enough.
