Some 1125BRL to BKK ex-SYD return with hotel trick. Great value IMO with loads of FF points if you are SG or above.

Tempting!

I am on my way from my first .br fare booked later tonight. Currently in BKK *A lounge off to SIN then 6hr layerover (no lounge access... could there be a better airport to have so much time!) then home. Been a nice weekend away :)

Has anyone jagged a paid upgrade on these fares? Last week an agent offered an upgrade to J for $1000 x 2 and said she would need to clear it with her supervisor. I was wondering if that was good value considering we originally paid a total of AUD1050 for 2 pax BNE-SIN-SGN return (O class).

I think a few have, keep in mind its a seat only, no extra SCs etc.

With the fares on 3k often under $100 return including plus pack, return to KUL and lounge access for five out of six flights for $550 including 100 SC and 20000 points will keep me with QF.

Great tip Markis. What do you suggest for Asia-Europe? I need to go to MEL/SYD-Hamburg around July next year and I was about to book something on the .br when I saw your post. Any suggestion(s)?

I have, SIN-PER 1000SGD.

Worth it in my case, stuck in plane for 90min prior to takeoff because of a fault, and actually managed to get some sleep. total paid for fare Y one way then J other works out at about 1050 or so...

Have a look at MH ex KUL

I was just doing a bit of search for MEL-SIN for Easter next year. Thought I found a good deal, but not sure what day I'd be flying back????

What do you mean? This has put you on the SIN-SYD or SIN-BNE return flight April 24 then domestic hop to MEL arriving at 9.35....click on flight details for the actual flights.

It says Sunday 24th April. The 24th April is a Thursday . I assume the date is correct, not the day.

I didn't have any problems using the .br site. It seemed pretty obvious to me and there was no translator used and I don't understand Portuguese either.

I arrived back on a QF flight (EK metal) this morning... ugh 10 across in the 777... not in a hurry to do that again!

After a couple of test runs and using the translator side by side, I don't use it any more and just use the Portuguese site as is.

Quick side note: my dad has a .br booking and he received a notice from Expedia that his booking had changed. On inspection from the QF MMB, the only thing is that a flight he was originally booked on was changed (MNL-BNE non stop now changed to MNL-SYD-BNE with manageable connection). Nothing else appears to be different. Would you think I should still call Expedia anyway?

I know the failsafe response is "do it, nothing to lose", but just wondering....

Yuk! The only thing worse than 10 across on a B777 is 9 across on an A330!

Don't call Expedia. Just call QF and confirm the changes. If you ring Expedia, you'll be struggling to speak to someone who can speak English. I just rang QF when I was notified of a change in my flights from Expedia.

Just brought 3 seats, PER-SIN-PER for the Anzac Day weekend for next year. For three pax the total came to 1520BR, or $714AUD. Per ticket it works out to be $238 return.

Had a few problems with the payment page saying that it would not accept debit cards. I logged into my Expedia account on my phone, and used my phone browser to pay - payment went through.

Some of us have called Expedia and managed to, after a bit of Portuguese, get an agent who is at least competent in English (just have to speak slower and more basic; not a terrible deal). But if I can just call Qantas, that works with me too!
