Qantas to fast track airline loyalty program status

So just got off the phone with QF and got the standard “your bonus SCs will credit in 6 weeks” line. Not feeling confident given that others have had their bonus SCs credited within days.
I asked the team to confirm I was eligible and they said that I wasn’t as I used a flight credit, but the website says the complete opposite.

It has been escalated for review but this is pretty frustrating. Has anyone dealt with this issue?

For automatic crediting the safest thing is always to use brand new bookings with a new booking reference.

It was probably the Qantas Money Premier Platinum, which is now offering 80 SC.

The Amex Qantas Ultimate is also offering 120 SC.
The Amex Qantas Ultimate offer is really interesting. Could you please provide more information or a link? I have searched the Amex card offering page and could not see the offer (and detailed T&Cs). Thank you in advance.

Update: Got the details on the card promotion page of Qantas frequent Flyer website. Unfortunately for me both the welcome bonus Qantas points and Status Credits are not available to existing Amex cardholders. 😞

Spent some more time on the phone with QF regarding this yesterday and was told again it would be escalated to the specialists and someone would get back to me within 2 business days. Is there anyway to actually get in touch with these specialists so I can actually move this forward? Feels like I’m going in circles.

I did a short domestic trip with VA last week and contacting them for a simple change was a breeze. This really isn’t making me overly excited to move my flying to QF if I do eventually get my bonus SCs and Gold status...

Dumb question but when you reach the 100 status credits, what happens?

From the instructions, it says within 2 days you get upgraded to Gold for a least 1 year.

I've got ~290 days left in my current year so does that mean I'll get gold for 365 days + 290 days = 655 days, is that right?

How does earning start again, can I start earning the required 600 status credits to maintain, or do I have to wait until the next year until it's possible to start earning 600?

Yes. With QF membership years are fixed so get the rest of current year plus all of next year.

Any further flights before the end of the current membership year won't help with requalification (since you already have this) but count towards a higher status and lifetime status.

Received my email today advising of my status upgrade to Gold until March 2023.
March is my QFF membership month.

My last earning flight status credits posted on 13 May, and bonus status credits posted 14 May (from the QF double status credits promotion) - getting me to the required 100 SCs .

Man that timing has worked out well for you!

In case anyone is wondering, SCs retained thanks to points club plus do not count towards qualification for the challenge (I just hit 100sc with some flights + carryover SC). To be clear, I didn't think they would, but we know that sometimes there are IT errors in our favour...

Massively unimpressed with QF. Rang today to check on my missing double SCs and was told due to a system upgrade they would call me back in 24 hours. Seems strange to upgrade your systems on a Monday morning...
What an absolute mess this is. I just received this email from QFF saying that bonus status credits don’t count to the fast track, but the terms and conditions clearly of the DSC offer say that they do, and the email advising the extension of the fast track says the same (screen shots of all below).

This is so frustrating! I guess my only option is to wait until the 6 weeks us passed and follow up again?

An interesting data point - according to this week's Qantas market update, almost 20,000 eligible people applied for the Qantas status fast track offer.

The rep seems to be mixing up the Gold Fast Track with the generic Status Accelerator offers. Qantas has previously said that bonus status credits would count towards the fast track offer, but not to the regular "Status Accelerator" challenges.

Mission accomplished - dual VA Platinum household, have not flown QF group for many years. We took advantage of the first iteration of the challenge and booked SYD > DRW > SYD each way for $499 in business back in Feb 2021 for travel this past weekend. Both accounts upgraded to QF Gold today thanks to the 160 SC - expiry dates based on our anniversary cycle is Dec 2022 for hubby and Mar 2023 for me (yes we timed this perfectly). Prior to COVID-19 I was looking forward to BNE HND direct VA services as I travel to Japan regularly; from 2022 onwards, it's Oneworld with QF, JL and CX all the way now. PS I was amazed QF points post while you are actually on the flight!!

So it'd be interesting if Rex ever launches a frequent flyer program to see if they offer a match (would be dumb not to) and if so how many people apply.

I am currently on the fast track program, and I took some Jetstar flights, upgrading to the Starter Max bundle to get the Flexible Economy level Status credits and points (which I have done many times before).

However after almost a month the status credits (or points) have not landed. 2 weeks ago I raised a claim, and now 2 weeks later (1 month total), still no credits/points.

Has anyone else had delays with credit/points crediting from Jetstar flights (with the required applicable bundles attached)?

Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.

Thanks. I'm not too concerned about these flights as I have till 31 July to earn the status credits. Although reading the thread above they can take up to 3 months.

I also have some Jetstar Max Bundle flights last week of June. I assume so long as all the flights were taken prior to the 31st July, Gold status should flow as soon as they are credited. Fingers crossed.

I completed my Qantas Fast Track last month & yesterday received in the mail the Qantas Gold Card (with Travel card on reverse) along with bag Q-Tag.
I was under the assumption these items were not being issued anymore, especially during this pandemic. Also as we have the digital card on Qantas website.

I assume all others received this in mail also.

Give the Frequent Flyer Service Centre a call. Since you already raised a claim and waited the 2 weeks, if you get the right person on the phone they may be able to fix it on the spot. I had to do this a couple of months ago.

Done my flights (80 SC's) and bonus of DSC pushed me over the line. The upgrade happened overnight (as I checked yesterday and still Silver).
My re-qual date is 28 February, so presume Gold until 28/2/23. Nice!

My dates were 8 March to 6 June (extended to 30 June), so got in early. Still had BNE/SYD and BNE/CBR flights to do, before expiry, so can now decide on schedules and price, with third line SC's (as I already have VA Plat re-qualified, but DSC is pushing me quicker to LTG)

Done with flight on 30-May, normal SC came in before landed, and bonus SC came in 31-May, which pushed above 100. Just noticed my account now is gold after login, no email yet. So, thanks for everyone's contribution, I made to gold after status match from SQ Gold.

As my membership ends Jan 2023, whatever SC I score in year 2021 won't count for renewal, right? So I need to score more from Feb 2022 onwards?
