QANTAS to launch their own credit card in tie-up with Citibank

I have got credit cards in the past, and most of the time, I am pretty sure they are at least based in Australia, but to ship off to the call center which sounded like it was connected with 100 year old copper lines doesn't give a good impressions on Qantas, especially since they are trying to move into the premium Credit card market
There's a lesson for life, many organisations try and give an impression that they are premium via their marketing, an impression and actually being premium are not the same. At the end of the day credit cards are mass-market commodity products, despite what your bank may try and convince you.

My annual fee was charged yesterday (points/statement arrived today).

..... and of course 7-10 of those days is already wiped out because you can't make a single expense within that period.

My bonus posted after a single $5200 business expense tipping me over the line.

For those who received their bonus and regular monthly points, do you have a statement available? I swear my first month is up, but can't check the actual date of opening...

Yep, I received my points + bonus + statement today. It's not due to be paid until early August, which is great as I desperately need my tax return... :)

I was approved on June 8th.

Yesterday I tried to get this card account bundled in with my other Citi cards and was told NO.

Finally got the card yesterday, so it took 6 business days to obtain the card from approval.

Already put some pending expenses through it; thankfully the activation process was pain free. First expense was an international online payment, and it didn't fail or block (in fact, didn't even get the Mastercard Security page thing), so it's working in that respect.

Yes.
You will receive an email with subject: Your July Qantas Premier credit card statement

>Dear coriander,
>Your July 2017 Qantas Premier statement is now available in Qantas Money.
>To view your statement:
>Log in to Qantas Money and click on Statements and notices, or

>Open the Qantas Money app, tap on Account details on the Qantas Premier screen.

My MacBlack, HSBC, QF Money statement emails all arrived today, all with same due date of 07-Aug.

Thanks all. I must be a week or thereabouts off from my first statement.

My annual fee was charged very early on - within the first few days.
Just had another look at my statement - the $149 was charged on last day of billing cycle (but doesn't attract points  !)

What has been the longest time for anybody from being approved to receiving the card? I was approved by SMS and email on June 28 but have still not received the card. I got another SMS today saying that I was approved and that to go to a link to activate the card.

I'm starting to get paranoid that its been stolen from my letter box.

How do you log in when overseas? Fingerprint ID on iPhone does not work - QM app reverts to normal log in with passcode sent to Australian phone number.

Yep have been thinking the same thing. Guess you will need international roaming on your phone. Whenever there is an update to the app, they require a SMS code as well :(

My statement was issued yesterday and the 60k bonus had also been posted into my QFF account along with the regular Points accrued for the month. :)

At least the points accrual process seems to be working seamlessly unlike the Citi contact centre and painful application process.

Yeah that's a concern.
I got the message saying the card has been sent on June 10th (a saturday) and it arrived on the 16th. Monday the 12th was also a public holiday.

It is interesting the different times the annual fee is being charged. They explicitly say the annual fee is charged on the date the card it activated (and then will be charged again on the anniversary of card *approval* - so technically not a full year later) yet this seems to have been variable for some here in terms of the charge. Mine was charged same day as activation and first spend which is what I expected.

Will I received my 'approved' email on 7 July and I'm still waiting for card arrival. So 3-5 working days is up today.

Won't worry until Tuesday next week. I'm in a city location so postal delays are rare.

Why don't you ring them and confirm your address?

I did when my card didn't appear; they cheerfully told me that the card had been sent to my address as recorded on their system ...... "8 Melbourne".

When they changed it to my full address, I received the card a week later.

Okay card was waiting at home Friday night so exactly 5 working days. Easy to activate but the mobile confirmation to login is going to be a pain when overseas.

Still now it's on the meet the spend trigger.
