Found the answer is NO for shire rates so I will use an alternative card that is YES.

Further to this does anyone know if shire rates will count towards the minimum spend for the bonus points?

I certainly hope so because I paid mine the other night.

I have seen in the card website it states :
"Balance Transfers, Cash Advances, Refunds, Chargebacks and Special Promotions"

So hopefully it should count towards it even if you don't earn points for it.

I thought about that seeing I am only around $900 spent and have a $4,200 shire rates bill. I chose not to go with any Citi card as I have much better cards that will earn points/Miles on rates. I am still thinking about what will get this over the line without losing any opportunity.

If I didn't get my rates I was going to book a holiday away for a few days and make sure the lodges accepted payment up front. But I don't think I need to do that now.

Have just crossed the $3,000 spending threshold so I have paid the bill ahead of time seeing we are about to travel.
I used all points eligible expenditure so no shire rates.

Funny observation in the QF Money app

Spend is classified with little icons (as I am sure you all know) - Groceries, Bills etc... well I was must amused to see a recent pharmac_ charge for some medication (and with pharmac_ in the business name for the charge) somehow come under the "Travel" category :D

I know.. poor form to quote myself but my amusement knows no bounds when buying more medication from same place came through as health now (which I'd expect) and not travel.. for the same biller. lol

You need to ask what is your acct finalising date and I think most people it is 19th of the month or near that..
I got my bonus 60K points and 4209 domestic points so far and they have included the card fee... Some how there is a 400 points discrepancy against the total monthly figure..
All of these come under Qantas Premiere points name and if you have a another visa or MC with Qantas points, I suggest you check your June and July statements since my Citi Visa on June spend was 11,300 points but it never went to Qantas and when I query this on Citi initially they said everything is fine and when I pressed June , then they said they have system error generating on June since new interchange bank fee issues. But Interchange law effect from July and hope every one check their June point balance on Qantas affiliate cards.
Citi did promise that they will put those missing points back...
Re. Qantas Money web, it is not very good since if you click on statement link below, it goes to a another web page and asking pwd which it does get hanged... Very poorly implemented page by Qantas Money.

Citi tend to use a dart board so the points reconciliation is up one month and down the next. Near enough for us.

The Qantas Premier Card saga continues... I figured I should 'do the right thing' and sign up to Foxtel Now to watch GOT but they're not accepting my Qantas Premier Card. They're saying that it's been issued outside of Australia and I need to use a different card!! Has anyone else seen this before?

Yup, well similar. I think I posted a few pages ago. The card has been refused by a couple of internet payment gateways who don't recognise it as being in the valid range of Mastercard numbers.

Hi

I just applied for this card and it was reasonably painless though the I uploaded the same payslip a few times to meet the various documentation requirements.

I didn't apply for it but was asked if I wanted a partner / supplementary card so this feature may now be available.

Just get each of the rest of the family a CC for themselves for 60,000 inexpensive QF points.

I haven't applied yet - still waiting for a better offer.
I am concerned by inabilty to use the cards as mentioned.
Is this a glitch or occurs on a regular basis?

I haven't tried them again. But it is something I expect would be worked out fairly quickly as the gateways are supplied with an updated list of number ranges.
