Are you saying people like to keep their status, and if they fail to do so, then there is incentive to regain it?Not at all - it's just the beginning.
In fact - research data shows that those who have achieved status, commence the new year with a higher propensity to fly (and higher share of wallet) than those who fall short.
Status retention requirements continue to induce goal gradient behaviour, and reduced requalification levels reproduce endowed progress effect behaviour.

I don't think so, Citibank is filling a different role with their own cards vs the Qantas one. Specifically while Citibank may be providing the back office for the Qantas card its still very much a Qantas rather than a Citi card.I'm wondering if I can convert my current Citibank cc to the new Qantas one.
Even better if I could receive the signup bonus.
The best way to earn money - keep earning. i.e. evolve and move with the money.
And Amen to that, totally agree - not my favourite program but will take the points if they make it childishly easy to get them.QFF is not my preferred program for many reasons, but for a while now QFF Offers of various types just keep coming. Over about the last year I have clocked up probably a million points to QFF for not much $$ in the main through promos, despite it being the last place I generally award points to if I have a choice.
No leaks/insider information here?
If the Qf credit card is anything like Qantas cash, it will be a fizzer...... I'm not holding my breath for anything extraordinary!
