All A380s back in service are refurbished with the Business Suite in a 1-2-1 layout, along with a refreshed onboard lounge.

Oh thats good I would probably have cancelled my A380 business seat if it was the 2-2-2 layout.

In that case I'd rather have taken a CX A350 where at least it's definitely 1-2-1.

Agreed. Just checked the seat map for the flights I just booked to and from LAX. Thanks Qantas very happy. Have got enough points left just incase First Class appears in an hour.

I loathe having to call to make a change to a rewards flight - I simply don't know what to expect (ie. if it can be done, if they can see the flight etc).

Separately, I also just checked back at options to SFO and LAX in December and the sea of J seats that I saw earlier seems to have significantly dried up.

Found LHR>HKG>MEL in Aug, LHR>HKG in F, HKG-MEL in J.
As per usual, errored out at the payment stage. Useless.

Hmm I've never seen that option even despite trying previously - I'll have to re-check on my partner's QFF account as our classic rewards booking was made under her account (the change button on my manage booking is greyed out).
