Still a beginner and not sure what those codes represent?
- Guessing the letter is booking class and number is something????

Have put in for business, and if not premium if available for Mrs Goosh.

The booking is an Economy Flex ticket (H) if that help explain where in the queue she is.

We have spoken about what happens if she doesnt get it, and has said I should use the business seat, as she flew last month for work to Shanghai and got the business upgrades both ways.

Yep.

JCDIU are all business classes, and the number is the seats available for sale, so only a seat left.

However WRTZ are all premium economy classes, so plenty of upgrades available there.

Thanks for that, at least some hope for premium upgrade.

Looking on ExpertFlyer, business shows 7 white seats, and premium shows 24.

Will let Mrs Goosh have some hope and wait till she gets an alert about any potential upgrades.

Hi all, seeking some advice on the experience of SG members upgrading to J from PE on QF1/2

I’ve booked my mum in PE (T class) on QF1/2 next year. She is about 80 SCs from SG so I’m trying to work out if I should get her to so a SC-run to attain SG to improve upgrade prospects on QF1/2?

It’s February so not really peak.

What do we think, get her to SG or the upgrade is unlikely so save the cash?

Dunno, but does open a question I have had in my mind for a while. Do WP in Y get priority on upgrades over SG in Y+? If so, I'd be weighing that in mind on getting your mum to do the status run. And if so, I have to bear that in mind if I submit for upgrades myself...

I'm an engineer. I am not picking a fight. I just want facts and evidence.
We need some SGs with lived experience. We need data. 🤣

EDIT: I’m well aware I could read the 109 pages of replies to this thread … but i’m trying the lazy way first.
