Qantas Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

I have had a few upgraded but only received one notification when I didn't get it.
I worked on the premise of if I didn't get the sms I hadn't got .
I always ticked up to boarding so I did think that would also affect my notification

W-J QF36 this evening. Request put in at time of booking (a couple of months ago). No notification, I just noticed my seat allocation had changed.

Have been WP for some years and until 6 months ago----would always get J---> F on QF 7 and 8.

Unsuccessful some months ago on QF 7 and now T-36 for QF 8 and it looks pretty hopeless.

2x J --> F on QF94 for WP 27/10. No notification of success.

Y to J on QF517 3 days prior - no notification, just noticed it in the app or online when checking on Sunday.
W to J on QF7 at T-50ish or so. Also no notification, and had to use the chat to get my seat changed to Emerald city. Was able to change again to a window seat on checking in - have not been able to see the seat map for the booking at all online due additional AA ticket joined to the QF ticket.

Just had a BNE/SYD/PER/BNE ticketed (flying end of November) and immediately went for the PER/BNE upgrade. Success. What a great use of 25K points (pity it's only a B738, rather than the A332) .

Managed to get SYD-KIX from Y to J recently. Didn't get it until boarding and didn't manage to snag it on the return.

Request from j-f qf7&8, did not received. My seat mate on 7 was wonderful, glad I didn’t get f. I was invited to coughpit arrival dfw. I took my seat mate, he was stocked. I’m gold.

I've had it a few times on delayed services so it's a blessing and a curse at the same time

I take variety of lollies, enough for all crew. I do it because I enjoy doing it, I don’t want anything in return. Apparently it’s on my profile.
The SCM on flt was on flt few yrs ago.
During the flt SCM advised me the pilot invited me to coughpit. I took my seatmate, who was very excited.
A few days later I received an email from customer care with message from the pilot again thanking me and inviting me to coughpit again.

Dr FM requested upgrades Y+ to J for SYD-HND and return.

Unsuccessful on the flight over - Friday night and J had been pretty full for weeks,

Successful back to Sydney - Saturday evening and was half full in J prior to the upgrade.

MEL - LAX Y+ -> J requested for 2 pax both on separate tickets. One was Bronze and the other gold. Both came through which fantastic and like most AFF'ers no notification received, just saw the points disappear.

Have a another request pending for the return flight home so we'll see how that goes

My first unsuccessful request in the last 4 years for my annual leave travelling overseas, flying QF23 tomorrow. Expert flyer is showing 8 "blocked" seats out of the 28 J seats, so I wonder if there is still a chance despite being almost T-24???
