Qantas Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

If you are a bronze FF, 80 hours before your flight time, they open the entire seating chart up to the rest of us to choose. So get in as soon as you can once it hits, so you can get a good seat if still available!
Neeeeeearly. It's opened up to everyone. There are seats that silver, gold, and platinum cannot access before T80 as well.

Thanks for the info and checking - what a bummer. Friday night to London was probably always going to be a tough ask! Fingers crossed for the way back.

What’s the T-80 rule? Sorry - newbie here! Still getting my head around the terms.
A handy little calculator I found after I also recently learnt about the T-80 rule

Coming home this Saturday so P1 upgrades should've been processed by now, once again in flex PE. Loads are F1 A0 J2 C0 D0 I0 W4 R1 T0. Not holding my breath...

So over the last week, loads on QF1 LHR-SYD were moving in the right direction - it was F3 J5 W2 until an hour ago and I was quite optimistic about my upgrade request.

Then at T-27, loads changed to F1 J1 W8, but WP on a flex PE fare didn't make the cut!

As I understand the prioritisation of classic upgrades, CL/P1s on any fare class and higher PCV WPs in Flex PE (not Sale/Saver) should be the only upgrade requests ahead of me? Is that correct?

The seats which freed up in the PE seat map appear to be 4 individual travellers (two from bulkhead so very possibly P1/CL) and 1 couple.

At risk of sounding a little DYKWIA, it feels quite unlikely there were 5 individual parties that met the above criteria. Anyway, we'll see how the upgrade at gate request goes...

Mrs willyroo QF SG - discount Y -> J - requested by me (also SG) around 9 months out:

QF1 SIN-LHR 4 Sep - Yeah? Nah.
QF2 LHR-SIN 13 Sep - Yeah? Nah. look up the page :)
QF52 SIN-BNE 14 Sep (requested about 10 days out) - Yeah, Nah...
