Qantas Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

Successful on Tuesday QF781 A332 MEL-PER. Bronze member only, requested points upgrade about 3 weeks ago. Superb flight and excellent crew; only (tiny) complaint was my bags took a while despite being tagged as Priority.

Was travelling from CBR and connecting in MEL - was pleasantly surprised to be allowed into the CBR J lounge before my Y flight CBR-MEL.

Hi All

Family x4 booked QF11 in November Premium economy sale fare return SYD-LAX all one booking.

Points upgrade requested to J class for all 4 people with myself the reqester being Gold status.

I assume that upgrading 4 people is alot harder than a smaller amount. Will they offer to separate us and upgrade some of our booking ?

Advice on the chances of success please?

Many thanks
I got 3 people upgraded LAX-SYD from premium economy sale fare to business
in Oct last year as a bronze member. There’s hope!

Had my first QF booking in 18 months made by my TA, so I've been nett collecting QF points and thought I'd have a crack at upgrading (only BNE/SYD/BNE) to reduce the stash.

Surprised that I got an automatic acceptance for BNE/SYD (7.10am flight so I thought no chance) and upgrade on reqeust for return (9.35pm flight). I thought it would be the opposite. 10,800 points well spent so far.

QF 2 SIN - SYD Y> J confirmed at T-60 (WP).

Would've been shocked if I didn't get it with J9+ open.

4th time trying to fly the a380 in J this year. Lets hope I get on board this time (every other time has failed with delays or cancellations).
