Qantas Wine latest offering

I may have deleted the email for an offer. I can't recall exactly what it was, maybe somehere can chime in. It was for either half or a dozen of red/whites for $69 or something like that plus bonus QFF points....

See post 240.....4,000 bouns points for every two 6 packs.

Hi all, note that a new offer has appeared on the website this morning - 2000 bonus points with every purchase of a Chandon NV six pack. Not bad value at <$114 and $18.99 bottle. Also, I imagine we can possibly expect a 15% off promo code to come through in the next few days from the Sydney wine and cheese night being held tonight (they released 15% off promo codes for these events last year). I've never had any problems with receiving bonus points via promo code purchases.

I would be careful, as on a previous purchase last year in November, I used a 15% coupon and I never received points. This was after another post in these forums assured it was also okay to do. When I queried I got the below response.

I’ve had a look at your account and it appears you’ve used a 15% coupon code for that particular sales order. The 15% off coupon code isn’t valid with another offer however I’ve just asked our customer service team to credit your account with 4000 points as you’re a valued customer and we appreciate your business with us.

I must say I have had really really good service with Epiqure, not just with them honouring these bonus points.

Thanks for the heads up. I used a 15% off coupon in conjunction with the previous 8000 bonus points for two cases purchases and the points were credited fine and without query, however sounds like they might be cracking down on this...

maybe it was 4683

The total points include the 4000 bonus should be 4683. As I read it, the issue is you previous wrote 8683

i guess why i thought it was 8683 is i got a popup banner saying Bonus 4000 point..

Why would i get a popup if the wine i ordered was not included in that deal ? Bad website coding maybe

Either way not a bad deal

Edit: Ahh i see.. when i click checkout for any order i get this screen, pretty dumb if your selection is not part of the deal !!!

Please note, members of Qantas epiQure will receive 4000 bonus points for every two cases of Qantas epiQure Exclusive wines* purchased this week. These will not appear on your tax invoice however will be credited to your account within 6 weeks. This offer is valid from 11 April 2013 until midnight 18 April 2013 AEST. Qantas epiQure terms and conditions apply.

What is weird is that that offer says it expires tomorrow, not today?..

I went to the wine and cheese evening last night in Sydney. It was a really good event. Some good wines open for tasting. A few super special ones too.

Noticed this yesterday when I ordered 2 x 6 bottles from the 4000 promo. The expiring date of the 4000 points bonus on the email says 17th, but on the pop up when I paid stated midnight 18th as above.

Well done to those who order today!

That was noted at the bottom of my Frequent Flyer statement, along with 2010 Penfolds Bin 28 Shiraz (Case of 6 $173.94) with 2000 bonus points and 2012 Cape Mentelle Sauvignon Blanc Semilion (Case of 6 $113.94) with 1500 bonus points.

Hmmmm ... such as?

I don't have my list so can't remember all the wines/vintages, and the only two that are sticking in my mind at the moment are:

St Hallet Old Block Shiraz (2006)
Wolf Blass Black Label (2008)

They also had a port for tasting (that I can't remember the name of) that was $350 a bottle. It was spectacular.

I'll bring my list in tomorrow. Probably around 100 wines were available.

It might have been the port that you can choose when you become a member, the Seppeltsfield one that is blended with vintages that go back a hundred years, it is spectacular.

That's the one. Wow, it was good. I'm no port drinker, but give me a bottle of that any day!
