Qantas Wine latest offering

I don't drink Port much either, when I visit a winery though I will buy a bottle or two of their port of sticky etc however this wine puts them all to shame. I have one bottle of this left at home so when to drink it is the question.

That's the one. Wow, it was good. I'm no port drinker, but give me a bottle of that any day!

They weren't treating it with the respect it deserves either. I saw quite a few people with quarter of a red wine glass of it, take a sip and then tip it ! Heathens.

Hi all, note that a new offer has appeared on the website this morning - 2000 bonus points with every purchase of a Chandon NV six pack. Not bad value at <$114 and $18.99 bottle. Also, I imagine we can possibly expect a 15% off promo code to come through in the next few days from the Sydney wine and cheese night being held tonight (they released 15% off promo codes for these events last year). I've never had any problems with receiving bonus points via promo code purchases.

That was noted at the bottom of my Frequent Flyer statement, along with 2010 Penfolds Bin 28 Shiraz (Case of 6 $173.94) with 2000 bonus points and 2012 Cape Mentelle Sauvignon Blanc Semilion (Case of 6 $113.94) with 1500 bonus points.

Pulled the trigger on the Chandon NV six pack - same price as the Cape Mentelle but another 500 bonus points (all up 2,341 + 174 CC points as I'm 1.5 pts/$1). Also better to butter up Mrs LW and therefore likely to be drunk quicker so I can buy more :D

This was also my 4th order. Hope that means piggyback bonus points will be coming my way.

Now to sign up Mrs LW ;)

It is a Tawny Port, which means it is not going to improve with cellaring. If it is well made it will still be the same, after several decades, as the day it is bottled.

Best way or buying it is part of a mixed case when it's a freebie, as the mixed cases cost less than a single bottle of the stuff.

One bottle was provided for the AFF BBQ last year.

Just pulled the trigger on 4 cases - 2 x Flametree Chard & 2 x SC Pannell. This purchase bags my 4th doz bonus:D

Time to sign SWMBO up & tag her into the buyers ring.

Delivered. Only problem.....6 bottles short. Rang the hot-line & hopefully sorted.

I also took the opportunity to ask about the delay with points posting.......lucky I did as they had no sign of the 4th doz bonus. Nothing has posted yet which has been different to my previous experience with QE.

I don't recall receiving an email about it, but there are some decent options under the "Sale" section (e.g 1999 Petaluma Coonawarra for $45/bottle, and Noble One for $20/bottle).

the Bin 28 at $30/bottle (with 2000 bonus points) seems like a decent deal. It can be had for cheaper at First Choice / Dan Murphys on occasion (I think $27 was the cheapest I've paid for it), so I suppose it depends on how much you value 2000 points.

Damn, they are quick. Purchased and dispatched same day :o

Will keep an eye out and follow your lead if nothing shows for mine - they were received last week and nothing as yet in my QFF account

The cheapest I can get Bin 28 is $25.84/bottle. That said, the point earn from this offer makes up for the difference in price based on how I use points.

Wow - that was quick. Received a new confirmation order for the missing 6 bottles....then received confirmation of despatch:D

Zero points have posted....strange as the other purchases I've done - the points have always posted the next day.

As it's nearly 18,000 points.....I'm keen to see them in my account:cool:

Finally got first lot of points from an order on the 12th today. But the 4000 bonus yet to post. Also yet to get points from an order on the 14th - previously point have come through in a day or two.

Points can take up to 6 weeks, anything under that is a bonus.

I think I need to take some home and drink

To be truthful, the $69 1K point Cellarmasters case on the right is staying - that's for clients. But I need to take some of the good stuff home and bring in some of the other $69 cases that really aren't palatable for drinking...

Similar scene in our lounge. We've got that many at the moment that we still have 72 bottles boxed up. SWMBO is going to sort them when she returns from Northern NSW next week.

In the meantime, I'm just getting ready to open a John Duval SGM. Turns out that they were definitely worth the bonus points back in early March!! :)

I'm glad I'm not one of your clients :p

Same here. Got the 8,000 bonus but no sign of the 8,000 4th Doz bonus.....happy to wait the required time.
