Qantas Wine latest offering

Huh. I am a points club plus member and just had my birthday. No sign of the vouchers. Should I call?
Given the record wait times calling QF, I'd recommend against it! 😂

Joking aside, I'd give it a couple of weeks, mail can be slow especially with the weather we've been having.

Can't hurt. I had my birthday last month, vouchers arrived four days later from [email protected]

Subject was "Happy Birthday Hi FirstName! An exclusive Points Club Plus gift for you"

They've also appeared on my Points Club page, although other users in the Points Club Discussion thread have mentioned they can't see the same page I can.

This query would be best directed to the QFF membership team in Manila, rather than reservations.

They have limited opening hours but otherwise there are virtually no wait times (always sub 5 min IME)

They also value the $50 discount (not $49) at 8700 points, FWIW.
Are you saying one can swap the $50 discount for 8700 QF points? I reckon many would gladly take the points over the voucher given QF points are worth close to 10 cents a piece on particularly good redemptions like SYD > LDH.

No "swap" or "redemption" - you can get a discount in either currency, which matches your method of payment.
ie. pay for wine in $, get $50 off
or: pay for wine in points, get 8700 points off.

So I called Qantas and got my vouchers. Saw the Yarra Yering Dry Reds on sale at $96 per bottle, less 10% PC+, less the $49 voucher. I ended up using points and getting 12 bottles for 162,600 points after using both vouchers. The wine is on sale from Yarra Yering for $1,560, so I thought it wasn’t a terrible use of points.

<1c per point? Some lovely wines though.

  • Save $50 when you spend $200
  • Save $100 when you spend $400
  • Save $175 when you spend $600 or more
does not seem to stack with points club

New Qantas Wine offer $175 off $600 spend = 29% off - I grabbed 7 x 2015 Tally Gift Boxed $90ea less $25/bott = $65 - currently showing $90 at Dans - thats a deal for me 👍
I bought The Standish $120 X 2 = $240 - $50 = $95ea
I have a bunch of $50 vouchers from Qantas I bought the off a mate, cost me $10 and saves me $40.

$75ea for The Standish, basically it's $115-$140 everywhere if it's not sold out soon.

I repeated this with Koomilya JC Shiraz 2018, and they cost me $70ea after discounts.

I still have multiple vouchers left, still deciding 🤣😬

I noticed QF has jacked up the price of some wine (to coincide with this promo no doubt). Specifically was looking at the NV Champagne Charlie.
One of the wines I wanted was now discounted 10%, but that put it below the $200 spend.

The Standish, Koomilya were reasonably priced and have stayed the same.

They do run sales on/off, most the mixed bundles that were discounted weeks ago were back at full price.

Pretty decent buying on single malts - with one of my PC+ $50 vouchers, I'm able to grab an 18yo Glenmorangie and a 12yo Glendronach for $158.

Edit: Glenmorangie 18yo now appears to be out of stock. I jumped on 2 separate orders with the above combo just in time.

Agreed. The pricing on single malts can be very good with the specials or vouchers and / or PC+. I bought a couple of Glenomrangie Signet a few months ago at a decent price.

Is there a way to get $50 Qantas Wine voucher beyond the birthday vouchers? Tempted to use this promotion but ran out of $50 vouchers already.
