Qantas Wine latest offering

Damn, that's going to curtail my SYD QP Lounge stays - assuming it's still there, I'll be in attendance on the evening of 13 Feb, holding up one end of the tasting bar :D

How long have they had the SYD tasting?

Glad to see you've had a chance to visit the Qantas epiQure stand markis10!

For those who have always wondered about our Business and First wine list, or you’d like to revisit the selection with a sneaky taste on your way through, do come by. :)

Located at SYD Domestic Terminal 3 (near Gate 7).

I was tempted by the mystery winepack, but really I want some good quaffing reds and like markis10 Epiqure has some whites I don't like. Instead i ordered a straight dozen of the Trevor Mast tribute shiraz at $239. Hard to see how you go wrong with that vintage and Mt Langhi at that price per bottle.

I'm not too fussed about the Shadowfax or the Flametree, but for the remainder $18.50 seems reasonable value

I see mine has been delivered as well and waiting at home for me. Some good wine's in that mix, the Wolf Blass is over a $100 a bottle alone.

I think that will be very enjoyable. Bit sad that I missed it. Don't know how.

I am pretty sure I have had the Shadowfax Chardonnay and it's not too bad or maybe that's the Xanadu I am thinking of. Shadofax make an interesting and nice wine called the Minnow, I would like it if Epiqure sold it as it's hard to find, had it at UME one night and been meaning to source it for a while.

There's some nice wines there obviously headlined by the Wolf Blass however they did advertise the dozen as $475 retail and I'm not sure it is anywhere near this. I was hoping for some nice wines one step up from what I normally order for day to day consumption but instead there are a whole lot of wines that I have had before in the 20-30 dollar range. Happy to drink them, they are all more than passable but really only the Yabby Creek, Brokenwood and of course the Wolf Blass were the sort of bottles I was hoping for

Still, they won't go to waste:D
