I've just ordered one;I like a bit of a punt as long as there is nothing sweet in there I'll be happy.

Might be a good way of trying something new

I was tempted by the mystery winepack, but really I want some good quaffing reds and like markis10 Epiqure has some whites I don't like. Instead i ordered a straight dozen of the Trevor Mast tribute shiraz at $239. Hard to see how you go wrong with that vintage and Mt Langhi at that price per bottle.

How long have they had the SYD tasting?

I did my first tasting there on 26 November during a status run CBR-SYD-OOL-SYD-CBR. Placed an order for $1000 during another status run on 3 Dec, so it has been there for a while now. Got 11001 points for the $1000 order

I am pretty sure I have had the Shadowfax Chardonnay and it's not too bad or maybe that's the Xanadu I am thinking of. Shadofax make an interesting and nice wine called the Minnow, I would like it if Epiqure sold it as it's hard to find, had it at UME one night and been meaning to source it for a while.

There's some nice wines there obviously headlined by the Wolf Blass however they did advertise the dozen as $475 retail and I'm not sure it is anywhere near this. I was hoping for some nice wines one step up from what I normally order for day to day consumption but instead there are a whole lot of wines that I have had before in the 20-30 dollar range. Happy to drink them, they are all more than passable but really only the Yabby Creek, Brokenwood and of course the Wolf Blass were the sort of bottles I was hoping for

Still, they won't go to waste
