Qantas Wine latest offering

You can buy from Woolworths online with six bottle discount for $59 a bottle if you are still after it.
They had a 30% off six bottles or more for weeks ended Tues. It's $64 in six which I presume is the normal 20%

It was a lot cheaper deal last time and I would say that the purchase price now is close to the cost of the unit out of China, so they should be prepared. They also announced this marketing campaign in their recent ASX impairment release.

The last time they did this it was horribly over subscribed and the Insurer had to pay out big Time.

OLD DEAL;
Buy 6 or more bottles of Penfolds wine (including 2 from Bins range) for $120 or more, and you can buy a Vintec SG30 30 bottle wine cabinet for $150 (inc postage). Purchase from an independent participating liquor outlet, in one transaction, between 01/03/10 and 31/03/10:• 6 or more bottles from the Thomas Hyland, Koonunga Hill or Penfolds Bins range• Including a minimum of 2 bottles from the Penfolds Bins range• Purchase must be $120 or greater

Yes it is good however the St Hallet Blackwell at half the price again is up there with it. The 2009 is particularly good that I picked up from Epiqure a few years ago for just under $25 a bottle.
2010 St Hallett Old Black is a brilliant wine. If you have the patience to hold on to it for another 10 years, it should be even better! A much better wine than the Bin 389 IMHO.

I was wondering if you could get away with buying a dozen bottle of the Club Tawny. Seems to be a "qualifying" purchase as far as I can tell...

Decent deal regardless of whether the Tawny is a qualifying purchase I reckon

That is what I was thinking as well. The Club Reserve Classic Tawny should as it has; "exceptional wines are selected", the important part wine, as part of the front label description and it doesn't appear to be excluded in the T&C's. I purchased the deal with Bin 51, not that I need another wine fridge.

I'm confused by this! Does it have to be an online retailer? I can only see a reference to a fine wine retailer on the Penfold's site.

To claim your Vintec Wine Cabinet, purchase 6 bottles of Penfolds Bin Series or Luxury wines from your fine wine retailer during July and retain your receipt.

No it can be any wine retailer including online. I'm just not sure if epiQure is an online wine retailer or a QFF redemption store which accepts cash as well as points.

Ahhh... thanks PF! I'll admit that it didn't even occur to me that epiQure might not count as a retailer.

Maybe I'll be the guinea pig ;)
Worst case scenario I end up with a case of wine to drink :mrgreen:
