Think another sale has started, spotted $999 transcon in J on QF.

Yep - received an email on the Business stuff - Jan on QF MEL-SYD from $439
FWIW, with the DJ FLYBIZ promo (ends today), MEL SYD can be had in business on VA from $283.

What is even more amazing is that for certain routes and dates, QF is cheaper than VA (e.g. SYD-MEL on VA is $85 and QF is $79). Makes it a no brainer as you get a snack/meal, IFE and baggage on QF.
You mean cheaper than the Saver Lite fare? You sure - 'cos if that's true, that's a riot, right? (Or QF are starting to prostitute themselves...)
Hmmm. Airfares are even lower than the really good sale that was on a few weeks ago where I purchased all my flights through to September!
My flights to MEL is May are $10 cheaper each way if I booked this week instead of last week. Oh well, I suppose you gain some and lose some.
My August flight MEL-PER is now on sale $60 cheaper. E class rather than O class though.
I should have warned people since my connection with MR Murphy's Law is quite consistent.
Happy wandering may now require prognostication if flying with QF.

Other than a letter is there any real differences between O and E fares? Both are classified as discount economy IIRC (just that E refers to sale fares and O as normal Red e-Deals?)
When crediting to other carriers, some don't credit certain classes. For qantas earning, it makes no difference.
Oh right, completely forgot about crediting to other carriers. I see that some airlines credit O but not E.
Doesn't QF have lowest price guarantee though?
