Qatar Airways Delays/Cancellations

Again, QR909, the evening SYD - DOH is delayed, this time from 2100 to an estimated 2230 hours pushback on Tuesday 28 June 2022.

QR909 on Sunday 3 July 2022 (2100- hours SYD - DOH) was delayed due to the late inbound arrival (thanks to the abysmal weather in SYD) so it pushed back a little before 2200 hours, just under an hour late. A388 A7-APG has the task.

QR904 (B773 A7-BEW, the 1935 hours Sunday 7 August DOH to MEL) didn't take off until 2301 hours so on 8 August it is arriving at gate at about 1853 hours, 163 minutes behind the schedule. Fortunately, QR905 returning doesn't depart until 2220 hours so in theory plenty of time to allow a punctual pushback.

Yesterday the aircraft had arrived in DOH at 2033 hours, 168 minutes late as QF730 from DFW, a 14 hour flight compared to the southern Australia's c.13 hours.

QR909, Tuesday 9 August 2022's scheduled 2100 hours mid evening SYD up to DOH is delayed overnight until 1300 hours (lunchtime) on 10 August. This is due to QR908 from DOH, the 1725 hours arrival in SYD today having taken off yesterday at 2121 hours with A388 A7-APC but then having returned to Doha after what appears to have been a very large number of holding pattern 'racecourse (and other) circuits':

This aircraft or its replacement haven't departed Doha yet as far as I can see.

A388 A7-APC must have been repaired as at 0745 AEST on Wednesday 10 August it was operating QF908 to SYD, passing over the Gibson Desert in WA.

The 10 August QR909 from SYD to DOH that usually leaves at 2100 hours mid evening is instead departing early tomorrow (Thursday 11) at 0700 hours, likely to be the result of crew requiring sufficient mandated rest.

On Thursday 11 August, the overnight delayed QR909 (A388 A7-APF) took off from SYD at 0716 hours, so DOH arrival becomes 1459 hours at gate, 604 minutes late.

A388 A7-APE as QR908, the Saturday 3 September 2022 midevening redeye from DOH to SYD is the 2030 hours that was airborne at 2105. Arrival on Sunday 4 in SYD is expected shortly at 1808 hours, 43 late.

Tuesday 6 September's QR909, the 2100 evening flight from SYD up to DOH is delayed overnight until 1300 hours on Wednesday 7. This is due to QF908, normally arriving at 1725, not coming in to SYD until 0725 hours tomorrow morning.

In addition to the delay overnight above to QR909 (which departs today), tonight's QR909 (the 2100 hours ex SYD) is also delayed overnight to an 0700 hours early morning Thursday 8 September departure.

Last night's QR908 was meant to arrive at 0725 this morning but this has become 0854 hours, 929 minutes late for A488 A7-APG.

On Wednesday 7, the overnight delayed QR909 (A388 A7-APG) was airborne later than predicted, at 1446 hours, so DOH arrival looks like 2223 hours instead of 0455 hours, so 1048 minutes late. Perhaps some overnight hotel stays in Doha coming up for the many who'd have missed booked connections.

On Wednesday 14 December 2022, QR905 (B773ER A7-BEU, the 2100 hours MEL-DOH) took off at 2213 so expected Thursday 15 arrival becomes 0406 hours, 41 minute stardy.

Sunday 18 December 2022 has QR989 (B773ER A7-BEL, the afternoon 1615 hours MEL-DOH) not taking off until 1803 hours. Gate arrival should be at about 0012 hours on Monday 19, 92 late.

Most likely due to the MEL storms at 1400 and 1730 AEDT on Thursday 22 DEcember 2022, QR989 (1615 hours MEL-DOH, B773ER A7-BEL) was still taxiing at 1816 hours. It will be at least 80 minutes late into DOH.

Friday 6 January 2023 sees QR900, the 0235 hours DOH down to PER airborne at 0322 with A388 A7-APG. Arrival at gate looks to be about 1908 hours, 33 minutes tardy.

QR908 DOH-SYD diverted to Perth earlier today and then continued on to Sydney 2 hours later.

The aircraft was A388 A7-APC, so a rare visit of an A380 to PER. Medical emergency?

QR908 was the Saturday 21 January 2040 hours mid evening DOH-SYD airborne more or less on time at 2111 hours.

On Sunday 22, it was airborne from PER at 1440 hours, arriving SYD at 2113 hours, 148 minutes late.

QR909, the 2200 hours SYD-DOH then took off at 2331 hours, so it must have had an exemption, with Monday 23 arrival at gate suggested as 0540 hours, 50 minutes late.

Storms have been adversely affecting MEL during the afternoon of Tuesday 24 January, with QR989, the 1615 hours MEL up to DOH in the sky at 1727 hours. B773ER A7-BEV should arrive at its gate at roughly 2325 hours, 45 minutes behind schedule.
