Christmas has come early! Now have access to the QF first lounge for 6 flights I was expecting to slum it back in their international business lounge!

Suits me perfectly as flying to Singapore in January with QF and have no status there!

Ooh nothing for me yet but I'm doing a BA flight tomorrow from LGW and I've credited it to Qatar - I was going to change it to Qantas once I got in the lounge but think I'll leave it now

Same here... I'll qualify for QF platinum outright after my next two flights to Jakarta in early January, but like others here was going slum it in the business lounge… not anymore

Same, I haven't got the status extension yet. I can't seems to find anything on the Qatar website about the extension, so I wonder whether it is targeted or they are doing the extension in batches.

That sounds like a good strategy. I currently have my QFF number on my booking because I'm attempting a points upgrade, but I should probably switch it right before I check-in so I can get into the F lounge, then switch it back once I'm in the lounge? Does that work?

Received said extension. I thought I read 31 Dec 2023, then noticed it was March - which is still great. The fact they're only doing 3 months looks like the last of it.

Golly I’d love that extension. No email about it though. I’ve only used my status for lounge entry ahead of BA flights so far so maybe they’ve given up on me.

Yep, I did that last time. They let me in the F lounge anyway but said really I need to have my Qatar FF number on the boarding pass instead of the QF one, and they were making an exception because they were quiet.

Sounds like a Karen or Ken was on the desk. I usually flash my QF boarding pass along with a "here's my OneWorld Emerald status with Qatar."

I've found BA lounges to be very strict with this. And as they couldn't change the FF# in my AA booking and there were no AA agents to assist in the terminal (AA lounge closed) I couldn't add my QR number to the booking. Went to the AMEX lounge in the end which was better than the BA F offering in any case (this was at PHL).

It seems Karen or Ken was confused between Rules for Qantas' oneworld partner elites and those for Qantas' non oneworld partners (e.g. EK, Jetstar).

LOL, haven’t heard the term Ken used before as a male Karen. Doesn’t have the same ring to it but I’m happy to indiscriminately label where appropriate.
