QF Booking Class?

It does not work (yet) on xASA's.
V0.2 now does xASA's.

Pop-up apears with a summary and now, inserts the fare bucket code beside each flight under "Fare Type".

Those who have the URL already can reload the script; others who would like to try it can PM me for more information.

Thanks serfty for your hard work.

Sent from my Telstra iPhone using the Australian Frequent Flyer application.

The few trials I've done with it have been good, thanks serfty for your hard work. Even better now ASAs are covered.

Where can I get a copy of this that works with Chrome (Firefox with Greasemonkey at a pinch but I've pretty much ditched Firefox)

See post #20 - it should work fine.
and Safari.
I wouldn't have a clue - only used safari once for 10 minutes as no other option (didn't even know it'd handle greasemonkey scripts).

Hey serfty, where can I get a copy to the script? How do you get it working in Chrome? I searched for Greasemonkey and found Tampermonkey, is that the one to use?

You can also book through a travel agent.
They will be able to see the class code they are booking.

The problem is that using a TA can be more expensive - moreover, many here often know more than a TA might.

I have been looking at SYD-HKG return on the A380 that is on sale right now for $788 but for the dates I wanted the price is ~$950 which is OK but sort of leaves me stuck in HKG with expensive airfares out to BKK. Well not quite but it requires a little more work to match up the stopovers.

So I thought about SYD-TPE and lo and behold a SYD-HKG-TPE return is only ~$1050 again travelling on the A380 to/from HKG and on CX for the HKG-TPE sector but need to make sure it is V class or higher to earn on QFF.

I could not work out the booking class (tried view source) and called QF customer service who could sell me V class for ~$1088 + booking fee. A little more than I want to pay but they did offer to allow me to book flights and call them to check booking class and if undesirable they would cancel it for me.

Then I thought I would post a thread on AFF but remembered this thread was around and now my dilemma has been solved.

All flights book in V class which earn on QFF.

Just wanted to clarify - is that all flights booked via the call centre, or does that also include any CX Y flight booked through the QF website? Will be booking some CX flights in the next couple of months through QF and the V class minimum was something I was needing to look into before making the bookings. :)

The times when you can find cheap flights on expedia.ie, they show the booking class during booking process.

Quite useful as sometimes you can find flights with 3 or 4 OW members for similar prices on the same metal but different ticketing numbers and then choose which gives you the best point/SC earn.

With the new version of Firefox I don't think the plugin someone wrote to see booking class on QF website is working. Do I just re-download or does someone need to write a new one?

What version is that?

I just successfully ran it on a clean install of FireFox 16.0.2 and Greasemonkey 1.4.

GM 1.4 works with FF 14 and later ...

Looks like the changes to the booking engine now mean we aren't as easily able to determine the booking class before booking?
