no... the WP getting champagne in Y is not being served vintage from F. They would be getting the standard J champagne. So this is not relevant.
On the 2 occasions when I have unfortunately been downstairs on the a380 and not in rows 1 to 5, the csm upon noticing my discomfort has brought f champagne.
if qantas needs to give out sweeteners to keep their platinums, is there a reason the gifts can't be restricted to hardware that won't run out? an amenity kit or headphones would fit into this example... everyone in first class has already been given theirs.
why give out champagne and then run out? why give out a cheese plate when a first class passenger might want one later?
i don't think cabin crew are necessarily best placed to determine which 'soft' items they can and can't give out. there are, unfortunately, too many qantas crews that can't anticipate pax needs on the best of days... yet they appear to have the ability to anticipate what items a first class passenger won't need later in the flight?
