QFF Award CX flight confirmed and then wait listed, what are my next steps?

I’m not sure about CX, but when we flew Qantas, the bassinet seats have to be manually assigned.
Also, the bassinet in Business on our Qantas flight was a hole at the front where the pyjamas and blankets were kept. Lucky for us there was a spare seat so we were able to put the baby on her own flatbed.
Nice to know, one of the key reasons we want to fly in business. The extra space on a direct flight is needed to make it a bit easier, plus both these flights are day flights.

anyone else got their tickets issued? Still awaiting for my 3 x CX J tickets to be issued. Got PNR/e-ticket numbers. Tried sending email to escalations and FB messenger but still not resolved yet :(

Also, where can I find information to confirm that once a e-ticket number has been issued, QF is bound by it (i.e. convention etc)
Nothing yet, still waiting but Wiki has had his ticket reinstated. I've been calling Qantas Customer Care, they've said they will find an alternate flight for us. For me, the other departments have only offered to cancel or find another award flight only.

That’s nice! Is the QF Customer Care the same number as 131313?

1300 659 161 - I can't remember the hours but it's not 24/7
Thanks mate! Wouldn’t it be a better option if they can offer you another flight? At least you’ll have a confirmed flight?

EDIT: called customer care and there’s nothing they can do apart from finding an alternative flight - which obviously has no availability. Can’t transfer my booking into those commercial flights.

My wife had her CX flight dropped from her OWA booking on Friday - ticketed months ago - Qantas says due to a CX time change and CX not putting her back in, request to reinstate was sent to CX, now it shows waitlisted on her booking... is this progress? or just something qantas puts on its bookings page to make us think like they are doing something? We are meant to leave in a couple weeks but these are the last legs in August to come home... there is absolutely nothing available to change to if it isn't reinstated

Hey guys pleased to confirm that our tickets got confirmed a couple of hours ago!!

EDIT: CX webpage showing 'waitlist confirmed - issue your ticket to secure your flight' whereas QF webpage is showing as 'confirmed' - any idea??

Sounds a bit strange - do you have the actual eTicket number as I would be wanting that before breathing a sigh of relief.

This was last year Don’t lose heart keep fighting for your OWA

just keep emailing them @[email protected]

Lucinda Purser is also worth a try also – I can’t post the email but fill in the blanks - l******p*****@qantas.com.au

I agree. I booked a J reward ticket and Qantas said confirmed but I found out that my ticket with CX was actually on hold. This was when CMT was showing e-tickets and that’s what flagged it for me straight away after booking. When I checked with CX , they advised me that Qantas had a deadline about 3hrs to ticket or I will lose my flight. I called Qantas straight away and luckily for me I got a good agent and they got a hold of the ticketing department. My flight was ticketed within 2hrs. Same as love_the_life, I definitely would wait until it’s ticketed before breathing a sigh of relief.

Thanks guys! Both CX and QF webpage says confirmed. I have tried to procure the eticket from CX website and under the “RESA” row it says “RQ” instead of the usual “ok”.

Is this something of a concern??

Looks like Qantas requested a different date than the original flight to be reinstated... I can't imagine Cathay Pacific is going to reinstate a flight on the wrong date... Still haven't heard back from anyone on the email.

Hi cocaman, I'm at this stage now. Did you have to do anything or just waited until it got fully confirmed?

Edit: It's all good now, finally confirmed and RESA showing OK on both legs!

Update: Called Qantas who advised me I should receive confirmation from Cathay in the next 5 business days, they said it looks like the flight should be re-instated. Otherwise, they will find an alternate flight.

Unsure if alternate flight must be an awards flight or any available flight on the day.

Same here. Received a call from QF this afternoon (Australian office) apologising for the lack of response and discrepancy in information (showed confirmed but their staff on FB said it’s still waitlisted).

She offered to reissue the tickets for me and she did (showing OK now). Interestingly, the endorsement says INVOLU REROUTE.. not that it matters to me but still good To now have 3 x J class MEL-HKG tickets

Hi all, glad to hear that there has been resolution for some with this issue. TLDR - confirmed flight has been waitlisted.

I have emailed the Reward Ticketing escalations team and had no response. So I was wondering: how long did you all wait for anything from this team?

TIA

I emailed on 25/2, still haven't heard anything.

But you called back and they said it was now confirmed?
No updates since my update from yesterday, they said it should be confirmed by Cathay within the next week. I wasn't hopeful at first but seeing how a few people here have had theirs sorted without any comms, I'm hoping it will come through. Otherwise, I will just cancel the whole trip altogether.

Not recommended but would suggest sending emails to the escalation team several times with clear subject heading.

I consider this appropriate given that the waitlisted flights may have a time limitation - it’s not something where the partner airline has changed your flight and no alternative flight has been allocated for you.
