QFF Bonus Status Credits/Points gift on back of Aug 2023 profit

Just read about this on Reddit and I have an email from QF telling me of my offer - 24,964 kms. Also 75/5000. Nothing on my app so far but bAlt who uses android received the 75/5000 off (Bronze). SCs are no use for him so took the 5000. I'm refreshing my apps on my iphone but nothing yet. I'll be taking the 75 as it is edging me closer to LTG.

Just refreshed and 75SC gladly accepted

Received the below in my Qantas app this morning. Full T&Cs available here: https://www.qantas.com/au/en/freque...-from-qantas-terms.html?client_id=qftravelapp

Appears to be a choice of 30/75 status credits or 1000/5000 points.

Must select your gift by 30 August - which is slightly annoying for those with a 1 September anniversary date (like myself) as the 75 SCs would have been a nice way to start the new year!

“Gift will be credited within 4 days”. Maybe wait till the last day to select and it might arrive in September.

I got the higher offer with over 90k kms. That seems like a lot more than I flew in that period.

Mine just came through now.
75/5k.

And just saw there is a big sale on including J ‘Everywhere’ sale with some very very interesting fares!

Wife (QFF Red) only took one Jetstar Flight earning QFF Points, few rewards flights, ended up with the 75 SC / 5000 Points choice. Hard choice, points taken.

Give and take too.
Yes, the SC/points are good, but they also need you or the person, to book a flight, ie, they get your $.
Cunning.
In the end, its just like a DSC/double points earn, on a J class forward booking on a mid haul Aust dom flight.

OT slightly, but re the Sale:

SYD-NOU J ($1k) is the current low end Sale fare you see there - pretty good

SYD-YVR J ($6k) is very good - considering - and a repeat of a prior Sale. I’m flying out next week on that previous offer. Mainly visiting the US!

If you fiddle around with multi-sector you should be able to get SYD-YVR//YYZ or YUL -SYD for around $6.5k.

Hmm. QFF anniversary is 31 August. Points take "up to 4 business days" to land.

If redeemed on 30 August when the offer ends, maybe QFF points would arrive in September... Could help towards another PC+...

Offered 75SC/5000pt. Have done 2 rewards flights and 7 paid flights in the last 12 months.

(Edit - 7, not 5 flights)

Snap!

Am flying through very similar combinations… and multi sectors are throwing up some very attractive fares.

Even economy has some sharp pricing, some good domestic value too.

Mapping out a plan.

It's become clockwork.

Massive profit announcement + unwanted media coverage (this week's edition being the denial of flights for Qatar that fairly or not is seen as benefitting/being heavily influenced by Qantas) = presents.

In the last 18 months when this has happened, we've seen two highly publicised, premium reward seat dumps, coupons, employee bonuses, and now this.

If the rest of the airline operated as well as their PR team, they'd be running quite the stellar operation.

My offer

As a gesture of our thanks for making us part of your travel plans over the past year, and to celebrate the 42,468 kms^ we've flown together, we would like to offer you a gift of either 5,000 Qantas Points or 75 Status Credits, that can be redeemed via the Qantas App.*

^Distances are based on Qantas marketed and operated flights from 1 July 2022 to 30 August 2023 where your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number was quoted in the booking.

SG with nine flights over the past year and received the 30 SCs offer. A bit disappointed tbh!

Oddly the T&Cs state that "Flights taken on Jetstar, partner airlines, or any flight that is not operated by Qantas, or staff travel flights are excluded from this offer."
