Personally I think there is a difference and not just in the product.Though down the back I don't really see how much different sitting in a 737 or an A320 could be compared to a wide body. For example QF 737 is 3+3 and QF 747 3+4+3, provided the physical seats are the same, have the same pitch and the same IFE system is used how is it different? I guess our dislike comes from the fact that we associate narrow bodies with domestic and domestic product and wide bodies with international product.
I can sit in a 737 or A320 and see the back of the cabin or the front of the cabin depending on where one is sitting. Feels very claustrophobic. Tiny galley and 2 toilets to be shared between ~156 people.
On the wider bodies there are multiple galleys, more than 4 toilets for ~300 people, I can walk up, down, around and around and not really bother anyone. Feels and looks more comfortable.
I have done 4-5 hours in a 737 and I truly believe it is an aircraft that I would not want to spend more than 2-3 hours on a single flight.
